I Played Clove for 24 Hours... Here's What I Learnt

Clove is VALORANT's new controller agent, and I spent the last week playing only them in immortal lobbies. In this video I go over some Clove gameplay as well as Clove tips and tricks. Hopefully I'll end up making a lot more Clove videos, so any feedback or support on this one is appreciated!

I mainly play brim. Clove having a similar smoke makes it easy to transition and has been really fun for me ro take a more agressive role while still being a smoker. I am absolute trash mechanically but i am a good smoker. Hopefuly this is the right agent to push my improvement.

From my experience on Clove, they really are the best agent to improve your mechanical skills. Better than Reyna even. You don't have any abilities like flashes or dismiss to crutch. You have only one Meddle and it rarely can turn the odds of 1:1 (maybe except pistol or eco rounds). Overheal and ult allows you to take more fights. Also being able to smoke after death don't discourage you from taking those fights, because you won't leave your team without the strongest piece of your utility even when you die
The most important thing is, even if you don't get a lot of kills, you can really support your team with smokes, meddle and even as an extra body to get traded (if you have an ult, even twice in a round)

You're so right about the ult, it's much harder to use than it seems. However another way you can use it is to have a teammate bait you in some situations like retaking a site.

i wish you mentioned the bug where when you ult sometimes it doesnt give you back your gun because it dropped too far behind your body, and you can't pick it up in the dismiss form either. ive lost rounds because of that which is so annoying

That bug is fixed in this weekend’s PBE, so should be fixed on live servers by next Tuesday / Wednesday!

I did kinda main clove rn and I noticed a bug where if u place ur smoke right after the barrier drops it will not be recharged anymore.

one thing i like doing with clove is if I have ult I go headfirst into the site as the entry, if I die, I provide useful info for my team and can res into. a safe spot, while causing a diversion for my team. If the site anchors run away so I die, free space for my team, and if not, I get to take a fight and provide more value

I usually pick up meddle smoke and light shield when im on defender side pistol round. This can be very useful since you can just stop pushes by chucking it into site entry and spam it. While on the attacker side i usually go for ghost smoke and pick me up. That overheal and speed boost is much needed when you are entering site and to top it off ghost usually 1 headshot kill enemies that don't buy armor on pistol round.

1:20 im not sure and i havent like verified, but I noticed this thing where if you get interrupted from healing, if u get a kill, the heal comes back (minus the damage u took to interrupt it)

cypher is meta on four maps- breeze, bind, sunset, and split, whereas kj is only meta on three- icebox, ascent, and lotus.

In pistol round u can get max 125 hp ..its might show 150 but its 125...may be a bug😅
