What a great demo! Now I get why you have to flip it over. Never thought about the cone shape.
So interesting to see how this is done. Its a lot of manual measuring, checking, and finessing. Tool is worth every penny. Will look into buying one. Thank you for the excellent demo!

We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

    • @GomeowCreations

It would depend on the metal. If it's stainless steel it's not going to move but if it's copper or brass filled then it will stretch or shrink a little but if it's plated you might crack or rip the plating

You don't for the most part. If the stones are all the way around it just can't really be done. If the don't go all the way around you would have to remove them if they can't handle heat or keep them in cut out some metal from the bottom of the band and solder it back together. This is not easy and you can mess things up really easily

I've just had a gents wedding ring increased 1/2 size. I always thought they would either cut & insert a segment or stretch as per your video.
Instead it appears they have ground material away from the inner circumference. I can tell as the hallmark is virtually indistinguishable. So they've stolen my gold & charged me £35 for the pleasure too.
    Any genuine goldsmith's comments please?

That kinda sucks but it might have been the only way to do it. If it is detailed or has stones set around it it would be very hard to resize it. If this was a simple band sadly they ripped you off 😅
