Got a early 70's troy bilt cultivator/edger/snowblower on 24" bicycle sold wheels with a 3HP tecumseh, shed rescue that has not run in 40 years. No vids or info out, 'super cultivator pro' have it running like new but want to repower with a honda knock off due to age of tecumseh motor and worst carb system known to gas.
Hope the edger your gonna do is the same unit in different skirt? Keep us going, older stuff solid and keeps running unlike the new chinese cheapos that fill our garbage dumps.
Wish these vids were around when i was younger, the number of great units sent to scrap due to lack of talent blows me way.

Good one Arch, Honda’s are excellent engines - maintained they can be passed down to the younger generation and STILL RUN ! 👍

Absolutely, I don't remember what engine it had but I figured a stainless body deserves a Honda Engine! Its the 4 Eva Mower!

Just a great machine, it didn't come with the Honda but I thought it would be a Great Marriage!

I bought the normal steel deck version of that mower. After 14 years the deck is rusted through but engine is perfect. Bought a used stainless deck and will be moving all the parts over and should be good for another few decades.

Hey arch the carb strainer, use .020 safety wire to clean out the holes, it’s perfect for it, you don’t need an unreasoning cleaner for that but they are still great to have.
I remember when you were going through all that stress, miss you bud, I’ll stop by if I head through.

I have the same mower. What size blade does it use? I bunged mine up on a brick.

Nice video! What is the name of that engine? I need a few parts for mine but can't seem to figure it out. Thank you.

      Thanks for watching!
The engine is a Honda, the body is MTD
Honda engines go by serial numbers, and K codes.
The are all basically the same and as I mention in the video, there are a few differences in the carb/choke systems.
There is a new model that has a full auto choke and the engine/block is different!
