One of my favorite parts of this whole movie is how "Slugworth" is nonchalantly pointing the microphone from the reporters to Mike and then at 0:35 he does this goofy little twirl with the mic, then goes back to normal, then points it at Mike's toy gun. I don't know why, but I love the little bits in this movie.
@@rainyxnightshade True, but that's not revealed until the end of the movie and only to Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe. Since the audience and Mike Teevee still know him as "Slugworth" at this point in the movie, that's why I referred to him as such in quotations, since that's not Mr. Wilkinson's real name.
The ironic part is that when Mike has a chance to be on TV, he ignores it, but in the factory he uses the Wonka-vision camera because he "wants to be on TV"
At least Mike Teevee has a big beautiful Mother to take care of him after they come back from the chocolate factory. I wonder if she serve him TV dinners in the living room ?
In response to your question, to rip from DVD (and then upload in much better quality), use a tool like Tipard DVD Ripper. You can choose/edit the segment you want and it'll be in much higher quality that what you have here (if you're still interested in doing that).
What I don’t get about this movie is Mike was better behaved than Charlie. The 2005 version actually made Mike snarky and rude, as well as making Charlie actually well behaved. Nothing against this actor of course it wasn’t his decision, but it’s still something I think about. Like even Augustus was better behaved than Charlie in this film, and I’d argue even Violet was. Veruca was definitely the worst behaved child, but I’d say Charlie was second worst, I mean maybe Violet’s worse than Charlie but Mike and Augustus are infinitely better behaved than this films Charlie. This is why the 2005 one is way superior in my opinion.
No because they're not ready to own a real gun, especially a kid like Mike who can't distinguish fantasy from reality. Gun ownership is a tremendous responsibility, one act of carelessness can have fatal consequences, for a kid like Mike, he's treating something that should be treated with absolute respect and care like a toy.
"Not 'till you're twelve, son." took over forty takes!
yeah he looks like he's over it when he says it
Well worth it
"Can't you shut up? I'm busy!" 😂

It's difficult to see as the pic is cropped but I see what you mean (it shows character) Sometimes lil things like that stand out
I laughed every time, I didn't get why he kept doing that
That's not slugworth that's mr Wilkinson
I do agree with this comment, but wanted to point out it is not Slogworth it is Mr.Wilkerson

No irony. His favorite show wasn't on at the factory. And he had to go through that whole long tour without seeing the TV
He was on TV idiot.
He let's him have a gun at 12. That's better than call of duty
Mike never going to the dinner table in his life is nothing to be proud of.
Man, that brings on a flood of memories, Mike TV and Augustus were always my favorites.
Thanks Wonka Fan 100 !
Mike has always been my fav character and still is. ;w; he just soooo cute XDDDD
Samee
He grew up to be quite handsome as well!
@@BeeKee404 wowser
@@BeeKee404 he became bald
Then yall became g@y
Imagine Mike Teavee in 2021. He would be addicted to smartphones, videogames, and big guns
I mean, have seen the 2005 remake
RIP Michael Goodliffe (Mr. Teavee).
Andrew Byrd what??? Omg
Andrew Byrd how old was he?
There's more to life than television. I on the other hand won't quit my job just to be able to watch more television.
Liked this version of Mike Teavee than the one in 2005
Same. This one's...more like a kid. And....cough.....a lot cuter
In this version mike teave was a little bit nicer
But he is suppose to represent the anger...this boy looks bothered but no angry in my opinión
And that's how unique and cute this TV addict is compared to Tim Burton's one.
@@TheLazyFusspot_3428 ikr, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a nerdy streamer if there is another reboot of this film
I guess we all know what kind of person Mike is gonna become when he gets older
Yeah. A gun killer!
I love how his dad is happy for him to have a gun in 1 or 2 years time after he just impulsively got out his toy one and shot at the television..
My dad always quotes 'not till you're 12 son'
Mike when he’s at the table: What on earth is that?
That guy that plays Mike's dad was more famous for playing Thomas Andrews in A Night to Remember which stars Kenneth More as Lightoller.
Love this movie
Indeed.
Not till you're 12 son lmao
zeldafreak701 la
I'm assuming Mike is 10 years old in this version
@@inferno5665 actually he was 8
He’s implying he will be dead before he turns 12.
@Colonel Dr. Samuel Breall yup
At least Mike Teevee has a big beautiful Mother to take care of him after they come back from the chocolate factory. I wonder if she serve him TV dinners in the living room ?
>Not til you're 12
>Arizona.
Checks out.
I'm only here for the "microphone guy!" He's the best part! No wonder Wonka sent him as his spy!
LMAO @ Slugworth with the microphone.
This Mike teavee it’s so cute
mike is cute in 1971
My parents would've spanked me if I didn't pay proper attention to the guests
I guess Mr. Teavee is barely trying
Jessica Victoria Carrillo Most parents here aren’t the best. Mr. Salt is a perfect example.
I would've smacked Mike round the ear for his rudeness and backchat!
In the 2005 remake, he was a violent gamer.
Not till you're 12 son
**Whispers to Mike**
I love the 2005 mike teavee better he's Jordan fry my fave actor 💘💘💘💘
Agreed, he was alot bigger of a brat in the 2005 version
Too bad that mike in this version didn't destroy the pumpkins
You know Primus did a whole tour on this movie. Shit, the only concert I had to miss.
NORA: He won’t answer till the station break. [GUNSHOT]
This is the most American thing I’ve ever seen
Did you, guys realize that his last name sounds like TV?
Who was that female news reporter that said “What about that Golden Ticket, Mike?”

Crazy the mom was almost Jean Stapleton if not for shooting a pilot for a show called all in the family 😉
Andy from Toy Story in real life.

Wait! Were you actually allowed a gun at 12 in the 70s?
Idk
It’s so much bullshit that two golden tickets ended up in the same country
Mike has the best parents ever I want my parents to be like his parents mike has the best parents
TIm JOyce his parents are typical American morons exposing their child to violent TV programs Xbox 1 and firearms at a young age.
Classic American trigger happy garbage.
I heard that Mike was the worst behaved kid on set
Probably because he was the youngest and most energetic.
Like killings? What do you think lifes all about? It's sad that it's true.
I searched marble falls on google map and marble falla are in Texas not Arizona
