As you can see in some of the photos, some of the buttons on the control panels are still lit. There's also still the electricity buzzing around and the dehumidifiers keeping the equipment dry. It's still a very 'alive' place.
@modgemtb the radiation signs are for special level measuring.they use radiation to detect how much quantity of some material is inside a tank. usually used for measuring the coal inside the storage silos but it is used for liquids as well.
One of the switchgear corridors is live. I think it powers the core systems and is the reason why you can still switch a lot of the lights on in that place.
That's the funny thing; the place it still buzzing with power and as you've seen, even some of the lights still work. There are many places in the building where you can hear switchgear and other electronic equipment that is humming and there are machines still left on!
The 2nd song is called "Distortion" by Mark Knight. It was part of the Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition (Playstation) OST. Find the song in his "gamesounds" website. should find it no bother with a bit of googling.
@drummer1495 Thanks for your comment. These are my visits from Summer 2009 and I only had a compact camera with me - but I have since been back with an SLR and will probably make another video soon of my better pictures. In particular the ones here really lack wideness!

Thankyou for posting this update to bad it's being taken down. I hope you can get more pictures before it's all gone.

Just to let you all know I now have a 2010 Inverkip video up, as a response to this video, with far better photographs included.
It's called AnoxDemocratus I believe. I can't remember where I downloaded it, but I can send it to you if you want.
Hi! I really liked that first chilling song at the beginning... What's the name of it or band?
If you could let us know that would be great... I've got the perfect vantage point for filming it go down as well.
What is the name and artist of the song starting at 1:25
I searched the artists in the description, but still couldnt find it
@Robyn932
Of course, I sent you a PM earlier asking a question or two, we can talk about it on MSN as well if you like.

i can't talk to you on MSN because it just says you appear offline...
I wonder if you can fire this place up and deliver more power ;)
How did you get in? Did they just leave the doors unlocked?

Cheers :)

Those old style facilities all pretty well gone the way of the DODO Bird sad to say...
I'll bet all those rotary phones are worth a small fortune.
