I've not yet reached the point in the video that you're referencing, but yeah Asmongold has an ass load of money that he hardly even touches lol. I mean hey, he earned it so it's his to do with as he pleases, I just find it incredibly tone-deaf to weigh in on the subject of wealth inequality when he is a perfectly acceptable example of why wealth inequality exists in the first place (not a great example, but an acceptable one nevertheless). I don't particularly like, nor dislike Asmon personally, I just think he's been sheltered for the majority of his life whether by his family in adolescence, or by himself in adulthood. As a result, I believe he's more or less spent the majority of his years living in a vacuum where all of his opinions and beliefs are easily validated by his own self-interests, and/or by the people who pander to him online because he has such a massive following. That being said, I do find his content to be entertaining at times so I subscribed to keep up with him, just don't want to come off as hypocritical when I do indulge in the brain rot occasionally myself. 😅

I don't think Asmon believes he's average, but it's clear that he started off very poor. He worked for the IRS for a while, and has more of an understanding of how money works than most people probably realize.

It's pretty clear that Asmon's deadpan agreement at the beginning was meant to be humerous, and nothing he actually said was wrong. Jake was chomping at the bit to disagree with Asmongold, but he never actually argued against what was being said. He was arguing with ghosts. Every statement he made was off-topic. I don't even think Asmon would disagree with Jake on any of his off-topic points.

Capitalists don't understand that money is a finite resource, it's a symbol of buying power. Line doesn't always go up. There is no ethical way to amass this kind of wealth, it is always born from exploitation somewhere down the line, and ethically you should be using that wealth to reinvest in the community and people. If people own large amounts of money, like money so far beyond even a comfortable living standard, that's unethical selfishness. Capitalists don't care about people, they only care about beating other capitalists.. It's a game to them, and we all pay for it.
I think you can ethically Ms enormous wealth but this happens with people like Joe Rogan or even this guy I guess. If those people don't have any money, then who has all of it? Neither I nor Asmon were being literal, we were talking in a broad sense. Like, that’s the whole point of a share lmao; I don’t know why people always downplay it when it’s convenient. The share is worth something IN OF ITSELF, *and* also produced dividends. Shareholders get payouts; it’s more than just stock market trading.

I started a lawn mowing business from scratch about 6 years ago, borrowed my dad's lawn mower and a broom literally towing it with my push bike. My first purchase was a Stihl commercial grade line trimmer, then a ride on mower but most of my income has gone on rent and 2nd hand cars that seem to never last longer then a year.
I have a lot of debt and can't/won't get any loans but I don't care I live for getting out on the weekend go kayaking or bush walking or swimming at the beach oh and I grow my own weed lol.
