How I Met Your Father is an American sitcom created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger which premiered on Hulu on January 18, 2022. It is a standalone sequel to How I Met Your Mother. The series stars Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Kim Cattrall.

I tried being open minded and I tried watching the first episode, but I immediately turned it off after hearing this.
The original intro wasn’t that good as well tbf

Why are so many people comparing this show to the other one? It's a different show, it exists in the same universe and the core concept is the same but everything else? DIFFERENT!
Because it's literally riding off of the success of HIMYM, otherwise they wouldn't have used the exact same name with a different gender, and the same theme song too. They should have made it a different show completely if they didn't want it to be compared to the original.

This series had scope they pulled plug too early!!! As a HIMYM fan, its not 2005-2014 anymore... its 2023 and people aren't exactly invested in watching shows like back then... you've got to be patient to earn that position... they could've waited to launch one more season and then checked... a whole new gen who hasn't watched the predecessor can judge this show unbiased😅

They kept the original opening theme From How I met Your Mother

Nah, i heard Barney is not allowed as a cameo because everything is woke, and NPH's character is such a womanizer and flirtatious like cmon, woke pretends like those men dont exist. Its a betrayal to the original source material and to the fans of the show.
Exactly why i have a $100 bet it will never hold a candle to HIMYM ever. Gotta wait like 10 years but i will not watch those eps more than once if i don’t have to

It doesn’t have to, let the show try to achieve her own. Himyf actually has quite good characters, I think the show will be better in the long run if it didn’t rely on himym references to keep the fans happy and actually try to be a good show.
Barney changed after he had his daughter and it’d be nice to see more on that character development too
imagine not caring about accountability and the actions of others… ALSO barney was around when pc hit and the show writers are obviously not right leaning 😂
