One of Gary Moore’s absolutely best moments, never overplayed that song, kept it perfect in balance all through. The solo was like a fine wine with the final notes brought back to it’s essence... exquisite
Gary is the GOAT is far as my personal preference best blend of rock progressive metal and blues . He made me realize I can like all genres as a guitar player and that I can feel ok with meshing all styles
I think every would-be guitarist knows Gary Moore. and this song, but other people just aren't aware of his brilliance. He put his heart and soul into every performance.
Gary knew how to make his guitar scream his pain. No endless cascades of tones. no fast emotionless riffs. He made his guitar cry like anyone who lost their love.
Fun Fact: Kirk Hammett spent some time tracking that guitar down and he found it. He bought it for $2,000,000 He play s it on stage for a couple songs.
You are absolutely my favourite Reaction person. You and your twinkly eyes. (Gary had been married, they divorced. He still misses her, but I believe she died, which explains why he points his finger to heaven? They had two sons.)
It will be a good day when all these reactors figure out that Gary was SO MUCH MORE and BETTER in his PRE-blues days than he is on SGTB and Parisian Walkways -- taking nothing away from either (though they're almost the same song).
Hello! Wow - this is really cool and such an amazing song! We are a kids family band from NZ and hope you might like to see our version of Still got the Blues as well :) thanks!
Well, this is awkward as I can see you are a really nice and decent guy but I only lasted for 4'33 after the FOURTH pause, my friend. I have seen 20+ Reactions to this, which is my favourite guitar-based song in my 66 English years, and Reactors just enjoy and speak at the end of listening to but I love it too much and really get into t but then you paused it and again and again and again(literally) and we were not even at the first guitar solo so although I assume you never paused during the second epic guitar solo alas I will never know as I could not listen to you break up all the rhythm, flow continuity and momentum of this masterpiece, my friend...
I understand the point and it is complex and only the Reactor knows their own relationship with UA-cam but I have seen endless reactions to this and a mass of other songs and videos are still there for all to see. Even then most Reactors get around it by one or, maybe, two quick pauses but don't have to destroy any flow at all let alone interrupt during a guitar solo, that shows a lack of respect for the musicianship...
Best guitarist ever. Try "the Messiah will come again" live from Montreux. You will be blown away.

Great reaction! If you want some Gary Moore driven Thin Lizzy, you've got to go for the studio version of Black Rose (Roisin Dubh) 👌

Same.
Pls also check Alip's cover on this song. Imagine he puts all together in just one acoustic guitar...

The pauses are required by UA-cam. If they don't put the pauses in You Tube will block the videos and even the entire channel.
