Finally a vlogger who show us some food which is eaten regularly by most Pakistanis. I mean we have so many vegetarian and mix vegetarian/meat dishes and most vloggers show karahi and biryani as being daily food while it is not so. In Pakistan we have so many different kinds of handi dishes that we eat regularly on daily basis. Would like to see more handi dishes being shown on vlogs and also visits to regular restaurants and truck stop dhabas. Well done David 👍
Traditional desi lassi is a salty lassi, but the salt ratio has to be right. Too salty can be shocking to the palate😂. In my experience salty lassi is best when homemade
I wonder if it similar to healthy products such as kefir in the west? I like both sweet and salty lassi but maybe the salty is an acquired taste? I almost consider sweet lassi as a dessert. 😋
Yes, it is quite healthy and much more watery than Kefir. It is not considered delicious but people drink it in hot weather (like now) to replenish lost salt in the body due to excessive sweating and they also believe that this diluted lassi cools down the body in hot weather.
The thing is normal people dont cook mutton beef chicken every day at home so when u go out side on streets for food u need mutton beef or chicken bcz its not daily We Pakistanis in our home eat lentals or vegetables for daily basis bcz mutton and beef is much expensive we dont cook daily its one time in a month or one time in 2 months So when frnds go out side their plain is to eat mutton thats why every where on streets u see mutton beef chicken dishses
People eat pure veg dishes at home, because it is cheap to prepare. In street food you will find meat, but there is usually daal or cholay/chana for vegetarians.
note: in start you can eat rice and raita with spoon instead of ruin the food through fingers. eat with hand is an art, if you don't know please don't display this art in bad way. Love with an advice ❤️ and that is not the normal sapparow it is some kind of wild bird similar to spparow found in certain areas called "chirra". The tour guide should teach you how to eat certain things. for example the naan and chapati can eat with meat and raita but you taste everything separately. wth tour guide is doing with you, ask him to guide you. Love you 😘❤️
I love your videos but it will be nice if you can get some of the best recipes from the places you visit that way for all of those who can't visit these places can at least try to recreate these yummy looking dishes...blessings David...
Hi David, I live in Pembroke pines and a big foodie and a great home chef, I enjoy everyone of your vlogs. A little clarification. In this video at 20 min your guide says its chest, actually its the udder of the beef we also call it Kheeri, because in sindhi language milk is called kheer. so the word kheeri is actually the udder and the best one is served in Karachi at Yameen kabab near soldier bazar. Once you try Yameen's khiri you will forget about all others... Plus that sour lassi is also called chaas in urdu and its similar to the buttermilk that we have here. Chaas is usually drank by the farmers in the fields on extremely hot days to rehydrate their electrolytes. Love your videos! I would love to cook for you sometime please PM me on Facebook. What a lucky guy, I need all that mutton in me …. Like yesterday
It is called chaas,or butter milk in India and it is supposed to be sour and salty, but here we add some spice and greens like mint or coriander
