    @Kyle Would you take the E-07+ over the K60 Scouts? How would they compare to my favourites, Karoo 4s and AX41s? Thank you!

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  8 місяців тому +1

      Well, that is a great question. Overall I prefer the E07+ over the K60 Scout tires. Neither are as good as the Karoo 4 which I thinks is slightly inferior to the AX41 except for rain. The Karoo 4 is like magic!

      @@manybikes Thank you so much! Yes, my order was reversed, and I also found the AX41s to be better overall, except when on wet tarmac. I rode through heavy rain in the Trans-Labrador on a Karoo 4 set this summer. Thanks again!

    Would happily run the e-07+ for a true 50/50 road trip. I hadn't realized it was such a big difference from the e-07. I loved my 2 rear sets of E-09 dakar. He's not kidding when it can take you anywhere, but I do think the e-09 front lacks for grip when paired with the rear, much more suited with the e-13 I run now. I think the e-09 front would pair nice with the e-07+ rear. I got 5000km out of my rears (e-09 dakar) ridden down to nubs but the grip was still impressive all the way to the end. Trying a different rear tire brand right now only because the prices are better for me here in Canada and might get slightly longer wear for the price, otherwise I'd still be full Mitas setup . As for the e-13Rallystar, I love it so much but would love to see a version also with a + perhaps with slightly more spaced out lugs, the only struggle I have with it is on wet roots even though the compound is great for wet/snow. Got some vids on the channel of what that e-13 is capable of.

      Glad you like them! I get asked about them all the time and am specifically asked why I don't discuss them more... Availability is the main reason. I don't have a reliable source. They are a "cult following" tire for sure.

  • @ianparkes2538
    @ianparkes2538 Рік тому +1

    So confused by the e07 and e07 plus , there it says they are both a 50/50 tyre. Mitas website says the plus is a 60/40 so better on road less on dirt . Which is it ?

    • @manybikes
      @manybikes  Рік тому +2

      Tire percentages suck… every manufacturer does it differently and the are really irrelevant. A 50/50 tire is good for 1/2 road use and 1/2 street use. Well truth be told I ride 80% on road (commuting) but when I ride off road I want traction so the 80/20 tire they’d recommend I’d never want to run. Honestly I think they are confused. The E07 has smaller lugs and is their 50/50 tire. It “wears out quicker” than many other adv tires… The E07+ was born which has munch larger blocks for significantly better mileage and they call it a 60/40 and claim it’s better on the road.

    • @manybikes

      The Mitas E07 is an Adv staple when it comes to tires. It wears like iron and does well in most situations. It would be a great tire on your CB500X.

    Just love Mitas tires, that E-09 Dakar is awesome! What Mitas need to work with is longevity. My E09 will just last 1500km.. Thats expensive in the short run. I had 6000km on my Motoz Rallz, it cost double as much as the Mitas. But the Motoz is hard to find in Europe. So im stack to buy a lots of Mitas tires 😂
