We fans theorize about her state of mind here. The recipient of the award is in an Iranian prison. Her children who are 17 year old twins have not seen their mother for some years. It is very likely she is singing to the children on behalf of their mother. No doubt her Iranian heritage factors in. So you just might be right. Think you are right about the tears. Her gran is Iranian so this concert must have been so emotional to her. She feels emotions so much. Last July in Norway I was standing a few meters from her and she got so tearful just thanking everyone for coming to see her. Tears were running down her face as she started to sing Suspicious Minds. I have a blowup of AJ's face from that performance, and she did not have mascara streaks down her face, although I had tears and shortness of breath and I have watched this video more that 75 times. To quote AJ, she stated, "don't cry while watching this performance, but I will cry watching it myself." It was obvious that AJ felt each and every word she song.

Every time I listen to her performance for this concert I am gobsmacked by the utter beauty of her, her voice, the orchestra, this performance. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. This was a very poignant moment for Angelina.

I always tear up AFTER I watch and hear this performance. Why is this video all about you, you have the artist that you are doing a reaction to in such a small screen if nothing else enlarge the screen of that person you're doing the reaction on.
I notice she is introduced as an "international star". These sorts of people don't appear at 'festivals' or on 'circuits' with such high 'status' to maintain, their services aimed at providing 'moments' for only the most exclusive events. So, under this performing category, we are not likely to have many chances to see her under 'live' circumstances, such as at 'Portsmouth' where there is no 'world-beating' cause or theme, such as 'climate change' afoot.
I do hope you are wrong and we see her schedule other concerts. Angelina is not like "these sorts of people" and she has appeared at festivals in Norway, she is humble and true to her heart. she truly loves her fans she calls her Angels and we love her, she has recently stated she can't wait to see our faces again real soon. But she is young and will move into performing at a slower pace as she sees fit. Her plans are now set for the next three years I have been told.

As far as the tear goes I could not see it in the video but that may be due to quality of my display. However I have heard through connections that Angelina said herself she had tears throughout the entire song. I can tell you that my tears were flowing when I heard it live. Samantha, she was singing directly to an imprisoned woman (for years in Iran) and her 2 children (twins a boy and a girl currently living in France) to basically pray that the woman is released from prison. I believe that answers your question.

Every time I listen to her performance for this concert I am gobsmacked by the utter beauty of her, her voice, the orchestra, this performance. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. This was a very poignant moment for Angelina.

I always tear up AFTER I watch and hear this performance. There's another, longer video (13:39) which includes the history of Alfred Nobel and the Peace Prize, and the history of Narges Mohammadi and her twin children. At the end of her performance, Angelina literally apologizes if she made us cry, then added, "...but you know what? We'll cry together..." because SHE was so emotional when she was singing. I notice she is introduced as an "international star". These sorts of people don't appear at 'festivals' or on 'circuits' with such high 'status' to maintain, their services aimed at providing 'moments' for only the most exclusive events. So, under this performing category, we are not likely to have many chances to see her under 'live' circumstances, such as at 'Portsmouth' where there is no 'world-beating' cause or theme, such as 'climate change' afoot.
I do hope you are wrong and we see her schedule other concerts. Angelina is not like "these sorts of people" and she has appeared at festivals in Norway, she is humble and true to her heart. she truly loves her fans she calls her Angels and we love her, she has recently stated she can't wait to see our faces again real soon. But she is young and will move into performing at a slower pace as she sees fit. Her plans are now set for the next three years I have been told.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.
