❤📚❤️ It sounds like books were a very beneficial thing in your life. I'm glad they were there for you and that you enjoyed them. I love reading most too, but I create junk journals, and I get so involved in the creative process that I'm totally absorbed and so relaxed. Great video.
@@starlasell5698 Thank you. Junk journaling is such a cool hobby! I have always wanted to do something like that and I have watched many a video on junk journal flip throughs! Do you write in them too or do you just add pretty things?
@MyMessyBookshelf I love them! I write in most of mine. I have my quotes journal, my calendar/planner journal, my daily journal, a Bible journal, and even my book review journal. You should try it sometime. I've been making them for over seven years.
It’s not cheesy at all, Nicky. I really appreciate hearing about your background and the ways in which your love of reading helped you to get an education and change your circumstances. Thanks for such a thoughtful video!
I always love hearing you talk about the importance of books and reading for you growing up. I think it’s such a needed reminder for us all. And it’s not cheesy. I don’t know what success means to you, but from where I’m watching, you seem to have a stable life, a loving family, snoring pets, and more books than you could get through, and time to spend on your hobbies and passions. That’s what I would call success, and a great achievement for anyone starting out with less. And I’m always more inspired to support my local library, so that others can have access to it too, after hearing stories like yours.
@@ellenmadebookclub Ellen, you almost made me cry over here haha. Thank you so much for the kind words. 🥹 Libraries are such comforting places. I am making a point to visit the different branches in my area and just picked up a couple books from one.

@ Love that! I feel like it’s one of few places where curiosity is still encouraged. No prestige, they just want to help you find a book 💜
