Let's be honest, it's not exactly a new model however if you're a competitive gamer, is this actually worth getting. It comes with a lot of VRAM, which could be very attractive if you also play single player games. In this video we will testing the RTX 3060 12GB and see if it is still viable for competitive gaming in 2024.. Although I am replacing it with an a770 soon. Stable Diffusion runs better on it than on an RTX 3060.

Probably go with the RTX 3060 because of the extra VRAM bro. Get the 12GB version and not the 8GB one.

3060 just for the 12 gb of vram, the more vram, the better for graphic design and 3d rendering.

If you like to play with Ray Tracing (even lower settings), RTX 3060 12GB would be the way to go, as it does require more VRAM demand.

And if it makes you feel better, every system will always have a bottleneck whether it be CPU or GPU. It just depends on how much money you want to dump on it to make the performance acceptable for your standards 😉
i got a prebuilt desktop on new years day(before the shops closed because i wanted to game in the new year)...rtx3060 12gb i5 12400f 16gb 3200mhz win 11 500gb nvme and where i live this medion erazer was priced at around 850 usd(so not super cheap,but the cheapest that was available and rtx4060 8gb version was 500usd higer(closer to 445-450usd w the value of usd vs skr at the time)
So was it worth it?? YES it sure was
What did i game on before? The most popular gpu on steam GTX1650
Do i feel it holds up still after 5+ months? Yes all games run from good to great But w a better cpu like the i7 12700f it will probably get a little more fps in most games(cpu intensive games)...But is it worth it? mayby n depending on price i guess

I’ve had a 1060 3gb for 5 years now and I felt like it was time to lay my son to rest so I ordered the 3060 12g but would it work with an i5 8400??
It will work just fine. You might run into CPU bottleneck on certain heavier competitive games like Warzone.
@@OverseerPC-Hardware yea it did so I ordered a Ryzn 5600x with a new mother board and installed it today with no problems and it feels like a whole new system, was really scared I’d mess something up but didn’t, thank god!

get a 3060 its got more vram
if ure on b450 board rx 6600 works on PCIE 4.0 x8 so you might be bottlenecked a bit by having 16x PCI lane. RTX 3060 has 16

@@indxroyal4351 b450 might be the problem , rx 6600 has pcie 8x while b450 mobos got 16x combined with pcie 3.0 u can get lower performance

go for rtx 3060 cheaper with 12vram and there is no a big difference tbh if u will play on 1080P

I believe it's around 10% better but if you can afford it then spend the 100 dollars more and get a 16 gb model

The 4060 Ti is unfortunately the worst card of the 40 series. You would have a hard time flipping that when you upgrade because most reviews don't favour it. Main reason is its memory bus.

Yeah, it's a base model. If fan curve is manually set, this really isn't an issue. 👍

@@kanni2959if you care about dlss and ray tracing, Go for 3060 like I did. if not, 6650xt will give your more performance and fps which will be good for competitive gaming but if you are a single player gamer, 3060 has more features.

It depends on your use case. If your use case would be any of the competitive games we've showcased, then you probably would find the answer there.
4060 for non vram limited situations, but it should be cheaper and should have been a 4050. 4060ti should have been the 4060
The 4060 should've been the 4050 but that wouldn't sit well with profit margins.
