Great video my friend and awesome bird. Iam still thinking to get 90mm one since the day it was released. But this baby also looks like great buy. Big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert
Thank you - I looked at the 90mm for a long time but it was just too big for me to store and transport (even with the wings coming off - I was excited when they announced this 70mm - the 64mm is a great flying aircraft - easy to handlaunch (I have a grass field I fly from) so with the smaller 64mm types it is better to hand launch and get more flying time..DOn't think I will assemble or fly before next year - great to hear from you say hi to Blaz from me Big UK Salute to you both.. Cheers Martyn
Hi Adam - I just hope that I did the right thing - had to sell the 64mm EDF F22 by Freewing to make room for this one - I hope it handles if not the same then much better... Hope everyone is ok your side of the pond - Cheers Martyn
I'm really liking these 70mm from MRC/FW. F-22 70 is another one I'd like to own because my wallet says it's ok :). Full function at a good price. Another great unboxing video Martyn, AirHammer out!!
Thanks Airhammer - I got to like Freewing more and more - just as good as FMS in my book - and the 70mm is a good size (as you say).. the price for what you get is very good... Cheers Martyn
Hi Ironmover - I am looking forward to the Assembly and then getting some flying done on this one , but right now that is not looking as if it will be anytime soon (not this year).. Cheers Martyn
LOL your not wrong Keith - end of the Year been working hard not much flying right now - so decided to pick up and few new models and swap out some of the older ones to make room.. - Hope all is well - Cheers Martyn
@@FlankerTanker yeah thing ain't too bad aside from spending 3 days freezing my ass for no deer! wasted another deer tag i'm at the point where i'll wait til i get one to buy the tag anymore!! enough with $30.00 a year on top of the hunting licenses for nothing!!
Awesome plane! I love flying this one more than my larger 90mm versions. Only issue with it is it being smaller I added lights and hi viz tape to help avoid losing sight or orientation of it. Excellent performance and power to weight.
F22 I knew it lol I have 3 now twin 40 and 64mm and now the 70mm I would love the 90 but like you said it’s massive and I don’t have a decent place to fly yet but I’ve not been looking much this year cos of my health and winter is not good for me cos I can’t feel my hands lol , this one looks great though, G🇬🇧
Hi Gazza, I wanted to keep my 64 - but needed the room (not for the 70 F22) but for the Twin 40 (SU57 and F14).. I hope once you are feeling better , your search for a good flying site goes well, and that in 2025 you can get out and do more flying - I just hope I have done the right thing - replace the 64 (which I liked and it flew well) with this 70.. Time will let us see... Cheers Martyn
I have a 2nd hand 64mm F-22 by Freewing. I'm replacing the motor since all the video reviews say the original motor was extremely underpowered. I'm adding nav lights, a cockpit light and an afterburner kit.
Well I did not replace the motor in my 64 and it flew just fine - ( i did have it set up for handlaunching with not gear ) I guess that help reduce the drag, I expect those that say it is underpowered fly from tarmac (so have the gear installed) and then just push the throttle to full and fly like that - it fly's well on the standard kit that it comes with - the only reason I am selling mine is that I now have this 70...
@@howiedenton2709 Hi Howie - yes your quite correct - mine was a V2 - as you say it had the upgrades as standard - You will love it Howie, I just wanted all the option (and I hope) the 70mm is as good as the 64mm version... Fingers crossed - Cheers Martyn
That looks really nice, I might give freewing a go, not sure about motion rc though, delivery to the UK sounds sketchy, they mentioned import tax and other charges.

I believe you have the V2 64mm F22 Martyn, as did I, which came with a motor upgrade from the V1. Looking forward to seeing your maiden on this 70mm.

Wow she’s a beaut Martyn. Have you built your 70mm Yak yet or is that going to the shop too? 🤣
@seanbarrie8713 hi Sean, I have built the YAK130. I just need to set up surface movements, and she is ready to fly... wonce the weather gets better.
@ that’s great, will assemble mine in the new year. I already have the AS3X receiver but need some 6S batteries for it. Anything you can suggest?
I how much was it roughly with import duty to uk as tempted thanks
@shozzy69 paid about £56 customs import Duty, this included fedex handling fees on top of the retail price shown on the motion Rc EU website
