Hey Nico thanks for pointing me in the direction of this gr8 video explaining the differrence between the versions of ESET. Just one question on the Ultimate though, where it says Encription of Sensitive Data and Photos, is that just in the folder you mentioned, or on USB`s, but is this a feature thats not totally enabled globally, or do you have some control over what to encript i.e you can enable only what you really want to protect and by folder or USB or HDD etc. THe reason I ask is that my photo catalogue is over 96,000 photos on an external drive that never leaves my home, and I wouldnt want to put any encription on that in case of problems. Once again thanks for a great video. I`m in the UK btw so my version of Ultimate is 5 devices and doesnt have the insurance you mentioned for US customers.
ESET came to me from word upon high about 12 years ago. It has always been solid and vigilant. Worth every penny and much more.
A lot of people here have been telling me that they have been with ESET for a long time. Impressive to see such a loyal following.
@@NicoKnowsTech I have a different question - how to buy ESET in GERMANY but from ENGLISH VERSION OF ESET WEBSITE ???
I need it as soon as possible and I cant....when I try they enforce me into German Version of the website
and I just know very little of German language....and I need the universal version of ESET
not only for one particular country....
I also tried to contact them but there is no email address available...
Do you have any idea that works??
Would you happen to know where is eset vpn jurisdiction is located? And if they own their own vpn or borrow from another vpn?
im using norton 360 delux here for up to 5 devices been using since 2010 when i got my toshsiba laptop it came with that still using on my lenovo laptop
I've been with Nod32 since its creation, replacing Norton which slowed my machine to a crawl. Maybe I should upgrade a bit though, retired & living in the Far East, my computer gets lots of use. I have a Password manager and a Vpn, maybe rethink things in the future. As for Ultimate, for 10 users seems worth it but not for me.
They just started a monthly option for ultimate. Getting the link momentarily
I helped make this deal happen by the way. It's $179 or $15/month for 5 licenses. www.kqzyfj.com/click-100472156-15737610
I didn't feel secure enough with Nod32, and Essentials are pretty close to perfect for home use. Is it worth $20 more? I can't say for sure, it was for me.
If you're using a VPN... You may as well get an AV like Eset Ultimate (which includes a VPN). I don't know where you live, but where I live, it would make no sense for me to get 2 separate products, as it would be more expensive. After all, a good VPN costs over 100$ where I am (yearly). Thus, getting a solid AV and VPN bundled together from a reputable company? Hell yeah!
Try to include a speed test, without the VPN and with VPN. Also how does it react with the torrent community. My feedback. Thanks for your video.
Sure thing. For now, the VPN exceeded my 500mb/s connection. It has a no-log policy so therefore yes it would work for the application you mentioned.
Sir do you recommend CCleaner?
For a while I didn't, but now I do however I am not a fan of registry cleaning. Perhaps a user could perform it for 20 years without a problem, but some people have experienced broken windows after registry cleaning. The other features of CCleaner are very useful.
@@NicoKnowsTech Sir in my experience programs like CCleaner are really useful and they do work and show results. I have CCleaner Premium on both Windows 11 as well as Android 13. On Windows CCleaner made my system, which is modern and very powerful, noticeably snappy and updated all drivers making it very stable like an ideal PC. It has many other built-in tools which are also very useful. On Android on my mother's OnePlus it found 53GB of ".bin" and ".trash" files left somewhere deep after transferring photos and videos, and OTA update file and removed them.
CCleaner, on both Windows as well as Android, does things automatically doing which manually will either take a lot of time and effort or is not possible at all.
Since now Windows and Android are very mature OS, it need not to be run very often, but once every six month is good for optimising the device for a better experience and prolonging the device life.
As errors and glitches accumulate over time, and there is cache poisoning, running programs like CCleaner or Bleach it is actually useful and very helpful. ChatGPT which is AI trained in knowledge also states the same, and so does experience of so many people on the internet, including me.
On Apple devices there is less hardware diversity and Apple itself controls end user optimisation and end user experience, still even on those devices it can be useful.
After running CCleaner, one should also reboot PC and viola, PC is ready to serve the user even better.
I agree though, some users have experienced broken system due to registery cleaning and also due to driver updater. It is suppose to clean safe registries and install stable drivers. Still, overall I find CCleaner Premium very useful and genuinely good. Perhaps a registery backup and system restore would be a good idea before using its advance tools.
I am telling from my experience.
@NicoKnowsTech wich one uses the least RAM, im a gamer.
ESET Home Security Premium or Essential would use slightly less ram than Ultimate... but they are all very lightweight.
@@NicoKnowsTech hi again - could you provide another link with some cheaper PLAN for ESET
but better than the BASIC one, please??
I really need it as soon as possible and only for 2 Devices.
Hi. The link for free edition isn t a direct link and it leads again to paid versions.
@@NicoKnowsTech I though that too. You mentioned it in the video at 0.59. Probably I ve mistaken the phrase
I think I was comparing to Windows Defender. I just verified with ESET and they do not have a free edition. They do have Trials though. @@dimitristsoutsouras2712
Actually I'll download GTA V from fitgirl, it was a cracked GTA V, after installing the game, my PC emergency needed restart, then I clicked on restart, I'm notice my Virus and threats protection was permanently hidden. 😢
Can you give me any solution for restoring my Virus and threats protection feature, I'm worried since last one month. I watched many videos on UA-cam but even that did not fix the problem.
Please help me please 🥺😭
uninstall/delete all the files from ur installation of gta v Then turn off all antivirus and try installing the game again. once the installation completes u turn on antivirus. this time allow exception when the antivirus notifies/flags any threats and ur good to go.
Eset vs Bitdefender.....Which One is best?
I'm all in with ESET right now. Bitdefender's Ransomeware protection doesn't actually do anything.
@@NicoKnowsTech I did not know that so I may give ESET a try but not the $204 one.haha
I hear that haha. Ultimate now is $15/mo now for 5 devices. ESET saw my videos and heard the push back I had on that price as well.
@@kygent508 that's what I would recommend. It has all the best stuff without the tin foil hat extras.
Just curious, but are you willing to part ways with your review mouse as it aesthetically grabs my attention over the M1 Pro gunmetal version that I ordered. Are you willing to trade my brand new in box version for yours? If not, then I'm willing to pay for it too. I'll also promote your channel with my Twitch audience if so :)
I'll also throw in the limited mouse pad as well as I have no need for 2 as I bought the M1 Gunmetal version and M2 during the presale. The M1 Pro is the revised and upgraded version of the M1 review mouse, I just like the aesthetics of the M1 review mouse more is all. Would love to hear back from you! I have on average 25k subscribers on my Twitch and would love to promote your channel if we can make this trade happen :)
Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply,
Brandon
This is also as long as it's in excellent condition as I don't want a scratched and messed up one lol. Thanks, buddy! I'll pay for shipping as well if need be.
My review sample is an engineering sample/prototype. Isn't under warranty or anything and isn't the final production product. Wanna hit me on up discord?
@@NicoKnowsTech Yeah, sure! I know what it is and I understand that it's a prototype, I just love the looks of it as it's my color preference. Warranty doesn't matter to me as I'll just buy another M1 Pro if needed. They already took in my consideration of making one of these and a black version of the M1 Pro as I requested it. Would love to trade, though! What's your Disc?
I have Eset but it doesn't convince me
@@TheHobbitmannHmmm... the engine was independantly tested this year and had high results. What conditions were you testing it in?
@@NicoKnowsTech nop. The detection is not good and the Behavior Blocker is very bad, depending always for the signatures.
@@TheHobbitmannCan you cite some documentation on this so I can investigate?
What do you think of Ultimate? Is it worth the price?
It is if you require a VPN, and don't want to pay for a third party solution like NordVPN or ExpressVPN. Otherwise if you don't care about having a VPN, then stick to Premium.
All of that said, something like ExpressVPN costs around the same thing as Eset Ultimate on a yearly basis. So it makes no sense to get Eset Premium AND a separate VPN if you need a VPN.
