Yup, definitely a big old puffball! Some are even edible, which I imagine would be way more mushroom meat than anyone would ever want to eat in one sitting. That tunnel seems like a really nice spot for diversity. I'm excited to see what else you come across there.
Woah. The Banded Krait looked a lot like a banded California Kingsnake. Thing was way cool. Also looked like you found quite a few other snakes as well. Sweet stuff, man.
Firstly, that looked like an overripe giant puffball. We have them up here in BC - I’ve occasionally seen them slightly larger than a large watermelon. If you find them when they are still solid white inside, they are good eating - either fried or cubed up in a stew. Very cool and very beautiful snakes! That krait was unreal! Man, you’ve got guts to go herping in Hong Kong!
Thanks so much. I've got probably 100 like this one, with different snakes, if you find yourself looking for something to watch. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
OMG! You fly for All Nippon Airways Cargo??? I’m soooo jealous that you love herping and u get to fly around the world the world looking for herps.....HOW AWESOME IS that!!! I’m living vicariously thru u...
That reminded me of an old Stephen King movie Creepshow. A farmer finds a meteor in his field and when he touches it he starts growing green fur all over his body. Great video!
That's a tough one. The Banded Krait and Radiated Ratsnake were both firsts for me. I picked up the Rat and it was a really beautiful snake. That said, there's something about that Krait. The green on the Pit Viper is also stunning in person. So vivid. I guess I'd say the Krait, mostly because of how deadly it is.
