      @@valterjr7359 ⚠️ God has said in the Quran:
      🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
      🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
      🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )
      🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 )
      🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 )

    The idea of the Steampunk radiator, the light bulb non-return valve and the vertical flow reducer are brilliant. Aesthetically unattainable, in the style we like so much. The empirical aspect of the flashback is very useful. I'm waiting for the glass test. Kind regards Rulof (reviewed several times with subtitles)

      safety is paramount when work with that mixture... but not here. it is a design that can make BOOM. he probably should separate the gases first in the reactor/generator, and feed them close to the torch via two hoses, separately, and having control of the mixture. his gas mixture is stoichiometric, so it ca travel back faster than you react, multiple flame arrest should be added on the hidrogen line. but not onnly etc, etc. hard plasic can act as solid if explosion is powerful enough, maybe 2 longitudinally joined PET bottles are more suitable. in term of surface area the metal wool would give him more surface, also inox plates is not so great for this process. imagine those plates flying through the air in all directions like ninja knives.

    Good video. Most torches you buy are brass which is a copper based alloy, and its for exactly that reason. The copper dissapates and conducts it away very effectively. Great build, i would love one of these in the shop. Its so much easier to refill water than buying gas canisters. Amazing build and thank you for all the tips on being successful with such a build

      Try searching Delvis11 ,he has tons of videos on hho production !!
      I bought some 8 inch 314L plates and made my own generator. Think it was about 100 for the plates ... but they were designed to my liking !! Produced bout a litre a minute.
      Like I said ,watch Delvis11, though channel name had a change ... go back through his vids about 11yrs and you'll see ,what I was telling this chap about a mouse ball as a check valve for flashback safety !!

      Technically you could use a steel ball bearing alone , aslong as its surface is true.
      And it rested in a silicone seal of sorts, to keep the gas Inside and pressure constant.
      Plus the exit port is large enough for the release gases ... and the spring load was string enough for holding the relief ball tight .
      Check hho for life , around 12 yrs back in video feed ... he has a demo of said device ...
      Erm yeah , hho tends to seep through some materials ... so heck what you use

I popped the top of my bubbler many times and it was NOT a fun kind of bang.

    I love this! What type of flame does this make?
    I was expecting a neutral flame because Hydrogen and Oxygen get split and then put back together. The color looks like it is a reducing flame but with the silver solder it looks like an oxidizing flame. It is not the copper burning because that would make a green flame. I'm trying to think of how I could use one of these. From the way it melts glass, I can see it being used as a cutting torch or glass melting torch.
    My guess is that not all the oxygen and hydrogen being produced gets to the torch at the same time because the water absorbs some of the oxygen. Once saturated it releases oxygen like bubbles in soda water which is probably why you have to restart it every once in a while.

    • @arturjogi6054
      @arturjogi6054 4 місяці тому

      The flame is neutral. Oxyhydrogen cannot really produce a reducing flame, hydrogen isn't a strong enough reducing agent, like carbon monoxide from hydrocarbon fuels is.
      The red color in the flame is probably from sodium ions, from tiny droplets / mist of water from the gas generator. Unless there is other contamination in the lines, that is the only place the color could come from. Hydrogen burns with near no color, simply because there is no carbon to glow inside the flame. That's why hydrogen was mixed with other, sootier gases on purpose when gas lighting was a thing.

  • @ravelkoff3549
    @ravelkoff3549 2 місяці тому

    Just a recommendation: press as much steel wool as hard you can into the pipe to the torch. It is no problem for the HHO to come trough but impossible for the flame to come back the pipe. The semi official name of it is flashback arrestor ;)

  • @KartikSingh-oo5tq

    a good concept. not new, but good. the only problem is the steel plates as electrodes. they WILL oxidise away with time, and very soon, since the plates are thin and have a large surface area. to prevent this problem, a non oxidising electrode should be used, like graphite. it will be hard to source thin graphite plates, but they will hold against the oxidation. there was no point in using distilled water, after adding salt to it.

    • @Gideon-s2c
      @Gideon-s2c Рік тому

      I do see where your coming from but graphite will turn into a powder as the gas forms. In the industry they use MMO plates or mixed metal oxide plates.

    for anyone who wants to make an HHO torch, please do not mess with HHO until you know what an HHO detonation sounds like first hand. not a deflagration of hydrogen gas, but a stoichiometric detonation of HHO. if you've never heard it, just make enough HHO to fill a film canister and then detonate it from a distance with ear protection. you can not understand how insanely powerful and dangerous HHO is until you've experienced a full detonation of just a small amount. and then compare it to a pure hydrogen gas balloon being deflagrated, which is loud, but no where close to HHO going off. then understand that your ENTIRE TORCH SYSTEM is FULL of HHO!!! you need to take multiple safety steps to prevent flashback and mitigate damage if you do get a detonation (or even just a pressure explosion).
    I highly recommend just copying what carsandwater made exactly if you insist on making one without taking any safety measures or learning anything. his design is one of the safest DIY designs i've seen and produces plenty of HHO and requires no storage (and includes a nice flashback arrestor)

    isnt there a risk of producing hexavalent chromium with stainless steel during electrolysis?

      Thank you! Very surprised your comment isn't higher. It's so concerning how many of these DIY HHO videos use stainless electrodes and don't ever mention this.

      I'm not an expert, so do your own research. But if anyone had already tried this, I have heard anecdotally you can SLOWLY add small strips of aluminum foil to your electrolyte to neutralize the chromium. I think this is an exothermic reaction so exercise caution and wait for the solution to cool down between strip to avoid a thermal runaway. You should also regularly be testing for hexavalent chromium with a test kit and NEVER dispose of the solution or anything that's touched it without taking proper steps for handling hazerdous materials. Check your local laws. But honestly, you should really pick a different material for the electrodes. There are plenty of corrosion resistant metals that won't hurt you. DIY Science Guy has a video on testing for hexavalent chromium and also making nickel plated copper electrodes for this purpose. Metal plating isn't that difficult to a tangential skill to pick up, and if you're making a HHO generator you should already have most of the tools and materials to do it. Don't gamble with your health and stay safe.

      @@jarrettg7937 Absolutely agreed! I'm not entirely sure about the aluminum, but I have heard that you can reduce it to trivalent chromium with sulphite and sodium hydroxide (I don't know the exact process). I'm not entirely sure if that's true though, as I'm no expert. I've personally always just avoided it and gone with copper; I'd rather replace my electrodes a ton than deal with toxic waste. I always feel crazy when no one else notices the danger either. hopefully, no one else is following the stainless steel part of these videos. Very scary stuff.

    Hey when you add the sodium and it electrolizes in your contraption you don’t get oxygen gas and hydrogen. You get hydrogen and chlorine gas where depending on where you live may be illegal to produce without a license.

    Some copper wool inside the torch handle will quench the flashback by cooling the flame inside.

    Pure hydrogen burns with a nearly invisible pale blue flame. I wonder why yours burns so orange? Must be picking up impurities somewhere, not that that is a bad thing. It makes it easier to see what you are doing. Great project, I'm considering building one myself for silver soldering. How much power does it draw?

    Para deshidratar más el hidrógeno puedes hacer un pequeño filtro que no contenga mucha cantidad de gas y ponerle sulfato de calcio anhidro para quitarle más humedad al hidrógeno
