guns for hands is about how tyler knows his fans self harm and have suicidal thoughts and it makes him stay awake at night. He wishes that he could do more to help people so he's trying to say use him and his music as a thing to take the pain away
Lane boy is an amazing one to do! I think it would be amazing because he's literally breaking down and lane boy is more about how his music is seen as bad or something
There’s also a twist to migraine, at the end he stops at “made it this.... “ and the song ends. (because he still doesn’t know if he will make it farther)
Little "fun" fact: Tyler wrote guns for hands after talking with some fans about suicide and suicidal thoughts; and my blood was apparently written by him for his niece :) And also, I really love your interpretations of these songs and the way you talked about the topics and all that! I genuinely hope you're okay, take care of yourself. And for other songs, I'd love to see you react to ode to sleep, doubt, truce, march to the sea, forest, glowing eyes and friend please :)
something you'll learn as you listen to them more is that every single one of their songs is a lot darker than what they sound. they handle heavy topics such as suicide, self harm, mental health, and other things like that in the best way possible. tyler, the singer, has dealt with struggles of depression, suicidal thoughts, and possibly self harm and josh, the drummer, has dealt with severe anxiety all of their lives, so they really know what they are talking about when they create these songs. their 'motto' for the band is "stay alive" because so many of the songs deal with things like that and a vast majority of the fans have the same type of struggles. we've all come together to form a family around each other. twenty one pilots is so much more than a band for so many people, it's basically a life support because it helps them through it all. that's why at the end of every show, the lead singer stands in front of the crowd and says "we're twenty one pilots and so are you". this band has saved so many people's lives and brought so much hope and peace so many people have trouble finding without it and continues to do so everyday. this band and its message is so powerful and it is shown in every song
this. this right here. I'll admit it, we're often only known for our toxic fanbase, but when you look closer, you realize that the majority of us are not like that at all. I can't even begin to count the number of times a stranger on the internet has saved me from myself. we _are_ a family
You basically just described every single real fan I hear people all the time saying they are fans, and yh I get they know all the lyrics and stuff But people like you who say this is a family, that is what the Clique is
@@zakroberts9052 I appreciate what you're trying to say, but dubbing people "real fans" is why a lot of the fanbase are known as toxic, and it makes me sad. people are allowed to enjoy their music on a surface level and they're just as valid as the people who use it in other ways, I know you probably know all this and you just chose some unfortunate wording, but please keep in mind you exclude people from the fanbase with that kind of language and it does more harm than good, all love for the clique |-/

Honestly, buddy, there isn't a single song they do that isn't rife with as much emotion and truth and love as one can pack into a song. Your perceptions are mind blowing. You get it and see it pretty much instantaneously. I find that amazing. I love they way you are able to see the meaning and intention behind each song and say it so clearly. Tyler's words are profound to put it mildly. I live on these songs. They are my other bible. Keep listening. Keep sharing. Try to meet them one day. They are amazing people! Thank you.
lovely is my favorite top song and my first tattoo! it's a shame it's only available on youtube, I feel like it can save lives. it saved mine years ago lol
@@marigriffiths458 holy shit you're right I feel dumb lol I tend to listen to top on spotify and its not on there. and it's the name tattooed in the blurryface font (twas my first top concert and it looked better than the rab font imo lol) on my dominant hand so I see it everything I'm doing anything. the lyric "the only difference between life and dying is one is trying" is still my motivation even after like 6 years lol
also i dont know if someone already commented this but the twitching his head and stuff prevents tyler from crying so its just another proof of how near all this stuff goes to him and why i love this band so much honestly (ive read that somewhere...and he said it himself during trees at a concert i think)
Several things: 1. I love that even though you couldn’t remember his name you recognized how important Josh is to their band and how talented he is, people sometimes only see Tyler since he’s the singer. 2. Your interpretation of Guns for Hands was awesome and pretty spot on. Tyler has told the story of writing it and it came from his fans coming up to him after shows when they still played in basements, and telling him about all their struggles (suicide depression etc) and he wanted to give them an outlet or something to focus on instead of those struggles through his music. 3. I loved your take on Holding on to You. It’s my personal favorite song by them. And even though it does seem to be about their belief in God, it’s about all those other things you mentioned too. I think they do a beautiful job of making music that is relevant to everyone and doesn’t exclude anyone, but they’re still able to talk honestly about their experience and in this case their faith. I’m glad you made a part 2. I really enjoy how positive you are in your videos. Your vids are kind of an “anti criticism” or positive version of criticism which I find to a breath of fresh air (Edit: As for other stuff to check out, you should watch some of the live performances like the bbc live lounge or the SiriusXM performance Tyler did recently.)
Whe you said "from wanting to survive to wanting to succeed" i really had a moment where i had to sit and reflect and write this comment. For a long time I've been feeling like I just need to survive through my life(and depression) and I have my moments where I want success, but that need for survival is very prominent in my motivations. I love how well you analyze these songs and really appreciate some of the things you say. Hits me in a soft spot man 🖤
I'd love to see you react to Fall Away, Isle of flightless birds, Ode to sleep, and the Jumpsuit-Nico and the niners-Levitate trilogy! Also, you should try to stan YUNGBLUD some time, he's incredible Love this as always
I've been a tøp fan for quite a while now, when they went from small town band to worldwide famous it was a big adjustment to having people completely disregard the meaning in their lyrics, which makes your reactions so amazing, your thought process is so deep and wonderful to hear👍♥️
Bruv I'm not trying to be rude but the forest fic sucked its poorly written and was definitely rushed but it was a good idea (kinda) the writer just took there relationship the wrong way
I would love to see you dive into the entire metaphorical story he tells through his most recent album, Trench. Not only is it such an incredible compilation of beautifully composed songs while demonstrating how Tyler has grown as a singer, but the Trench metaphor is just...phenomenal. He challenged himself to write from the worst of mindsets while always looking for that hope to be somewhere else. It'd be interesting to hear what you take away from it. If you were to listen to specific songs from that album to convey that, I'd recommend Jumpsuit, Morph, Nico and the Niners, Bandito, and Leave the City. Neon Gravestones ties into it too, but maybe you'll perceive something differently with that song after understanding the entire story he's telling.

I wish you would show some of their less depressing songs such as smithereens, house of gold, tear in my heart, and legend. Their all very wholesome in my opinion and provides some feel good vibes.
Semi automatic is a good and underrated song in my opinion and actually I was 4 when the album came out and I knew every word and could sing Car Radio and Semi Automatic in a singular breath

"I try desperately to run through the sand as I hold the water in the palm of my hand cause it's all that I have and it's all that I need and the waves of the water mean nothing to me" is the most meaningful line in addict with a pen for me. For me it's about desperately trying to hold on to what is left of your will to live and searching for a reason to stay alive. "the waves of water" are all those things you'll hear like "it will hurt your friends if you die" "don't do this to your family" but you don't want that water. You don't want reasons to stay alive for someone else you want to be understood and forgiven for your feelings and thoughts and you want to be given reasons to stay alive for *yourself* . You are searching for something or someone telling you why *you* are important and *your life* has purpose. You want to make it out of there for yourself but you can't find a reason and strength as to why you should. It's like being tired to only stay strong for others so now you want to find proof as for why yourself would be worth living for.

@@TheDarkPadawon lovely is on the album vessel tho. also that's awesome! what is your tattoo exactly?
@@marigriffiths458 holy shit you're right I feel dumb lol I tend to listen to top on spotify and its not on there. and it's the name tattooed in the blurryface font (twas my first top concert and it looked better than the rab font imo lol) on my dominant hand so I see it everything I'm doing anything. the lyric "the only difference between life and dying is one is trying" is still my motivation even after like 6 years lol
@@TheDarkPadawon that's incredible! I'm glad tøp has helped u so much and that's so cute I love that!
"My eyeballs have been swimming in juice" Bill-2019
bill: addict with a pen
me: *pauses the vid and sits in silence for half an hour*
AND NOW I JUST SIT IN SILENCE
also i dont know if someone already commented this but the twitching his head and stuff prevents tyler from crying so its just another proof of how near all this stuff goes to him and why i love this band so much honestly
(ive read that somewhere...and he said it himself during trees at a concert i think)
that's beautiful. holy damn.
"I love this song but DAMN is it upsetting" yeah that's basically tøp in a nutshell
Everyones suggesting songs, but I say you eventually react to all of them 😂
PART 3!!!
Trees
truce
ruby
forest
legend
i just wanna see you listen to all the songs :D
Songs to listen too next u would probably like:
Ruby
Ode to Sleep
Friend, Please
Fall away
Trees
Taxi Cab
Isle of Flightless Birds
aureeleea ayyee damn lmfao everyone’s gonna be crying
In their self titled album there's a lot of religious meanings
so many to recommend but here's three:
friend, please
lovely
ms. believer
oh and truce!!!
You just want to see him cry lmao
Several things:
Your vids are kind of an “anti criticism” or positive version of criticism which I find to a breath of fresh air
(Edit: As for other stuff to check out, you should watch some of the live performances like the bbc live lounge or the SiriusXM performance Tyler did recently.)
who is josh? i don't know her, i only know tyler and joseph
Josh isn’t real
@@lasagnamafia no you didn't---
Josh was kicked outta the band like what 3 times now? 😂💛
Trying to stan hmmm...
I think we’ve made it though the trying phase at this point XD
Whe you said "from wanting to survive to wanting to succeed" i really had a moment where i had to sit and reflect and write this comment. For a long time I've been feeling like I just need to survive through my life(and depression) and I have my moments where I want success, but that need for survival is very prominent in my motivations. I love how well you analyze these songs and really appreciate some of the things you say. Hits me in a soft spot man 🖤
"was he not real the whole time?"
Ah that gives me forest fic flashbacks
And i- oop
YES I'VE BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH
I'd love to see you react to Fall Away, Isle of flightless birds, Ode to sleep, and the Jumpsuit-Nico and the niners-Levitate trilogy!
Also, you should try to stan YUNGBLUD some time, he's incredible
Love this as always
Yesss. Especially polygraph eyes 🥺
@@woodlandirises YES but it will make Bill cry once again
Yes!!!!! YUNGBLUD would be an awesome reaction
I've been a tøp fan for quite a while now, when they went from small town band to worldwide famous it was a big adjustment to having people completely disregard the meaning in their lyrics, which makes your reactions so amazing, your thought process is so deep and wonderful to hear👍♥️
“Omg was he not real the whole time? What the hell twist ending shit-?”
You really need to read the Forest fic
NO!!!
No no no
Bruv I'm not trying to be rude but the forest fic sucked its poorly written and was definitely rushed but it was a good idea (kinda) the writer just took there relationship the wrong way
@@thatoneguy8599 *Their*
But yeah I agree. They did make their relationship in the story just wrong.
The rest of it was interesting though.
Let's not put him through that lol
“WAS HE NOT REAL THE WHOLE TIME!?”
me after reading the forest fic-
LMAO STOOP
I KEEP SEEING THE FOREST FIC AROUND BUT IM TOO SCARED TO READ IT??? whats it abt???
@@corvieus i wont spoil it so all I can tell you is its sad
Tyler..... AND JOSEPH
I'm laughing A LOT
Admit it, we’ve all been waiting for this since the first video😂🖤
you should watch the Trench series (jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, and Levitate).
RE: Kitchen Sink...those are droplets of water you're hearing in the beginning. (Like a leaky kitchen sink, ya know?) Not video game sounds...lol
Please react to some interviews of them. They are two funny boys (Two happy boys)
