Earlier training in nuclear chemical warfare makes me cringe during this tale. My earlier pun brings angst to my heart. The main reason Iisten to medieval and fantasy is to avoid massive destruction and wholesale destruction. To see your opponent is necessary,. Still believe in a fair fight fight old man calling those who cares about us and everyone else!
So I spent my 20s as a Paramedic. During my initial training in 2009, 9/11 was still 'fresh' on the minds of emergency management. I did so many chem/nuc warfare training scenarios I totally get where you're coming from. As I've told readers: the first few Stormborn books are 'mild' but later books get fairly dark. In the original timeline, the Rusis are never able to successfully use their weapons BUT Rungar and the Templars were able to disable the 'city-ship' before it could destroy their capital. Hench: Aieclo as it was. Obviously, the events of this book make the use of such weapon a 'last ditch' attempt to save the world. Ultimately, the Rusis failed at mastering the elements just as the Dwemhar railed to reach actual ascension... both focusing on war when between the two of them they could almost be a perfect duology of power and actually destroy the evils of the realms... I look at it in a way the way the German rocket program meant to be used destroy their enemies became the US rocket program that got us to space... In this case: Something bad became something good (where as the Rusis were destroyed by their own weapons and the Dwemhar lost their entire civilization from the flood)

I found this far funnier than I should have. When you see the Temple of the One in "Ascension" (the next and final book) know I based it on a Catholic church I went into in Galveston, Texas. 😅
@@JTWilliamsauthor it was ment as a pun on caticism not sure on the spelling means bible school. I've been told if a joke needs an explanation it's probably not funny, didn't intent to post it that often.
Good man! You never keep us waiting.
Of course. Final book in this series is coming soon! Thank you for listening!
Destruction is only one mistake away
I attended Cataclysm for 14 years. Like any good Catholic 😅
