Hey Sina! It would seem that being on the boat has brought out a happy side to you. Your projects lately have been a step up from your basement covers. Great job! Keep them coming.
This is an ancient one from the 70’s. Oh my, how the pieces were short, but still had all the essentials: verses, chorus and at least one guitar solo. Sina keeps a steamy, steady engine running and puts some fire on the song, too. inexorably. I think the best parts here are her fills, they are so precise and pure.. seamless.💯💥
This is awesome and rare to hear the album version of the drumming from the Peter Criss era. This song in the mid 80's was played with a much faster tempo and the drummer was Eric Carr. He added all sorts of elements to this Kiss standard via his drumming style. Some didn't like Eric's take on the tempo but it's incredibly fast and exciting to hear played live.
That's not really true about the tempo, though. They played the songs fast live with Peter Criss as well, especially towards the end of his time in the band. Just listen to them from the Dynasty tour for example. And do you really think that Paul and Gene would have permitted it if they didn't want it, especially during the Eric Carr era since he really was just their employee? No, the truth is that Paul Stanley told Eric to raise the tempo, because that's what he wanted. And personally, I much prefer Eric Carr's drumming. But it's just a matter of taste, of course.
@@roaringviking5693 Yeah - I've heard mumps and moans over the years about Carr playing 'too fast' but every band ramped it up live back then and as you say, Stanley and Simmons had the last word.
@@kitko33 Absolutely not true. He was forced by Bob Ezrin to play THIS PART the same way Ace and Paul were forced to play the flamingo style guitar solo. Go ahead.... ask me how I know
You've made a 43+ year KISS fan very happy! With them retiring this year it was so cool to see and hear you play one of their best songs! In fact, that is the song they have been opening their EOTR tour with since it began in 2019! Rock on young lady! You're the best!
As a major KISS fan myself, I am amazed by your talent. I play guitar and bass and play all of their songs. You did a absolutely fantastic job!! You could even be their drummer! Keep on rocking!
Boah Sina!! Tolle Songauswahl, mach immer weiter so!
Wow Sina, Congratulations, God, KISS is my favorite band of all time, the one that got me into rock music and Ace Frehley is responsible for my love for the electric guitar. Detroit, Rock City is undoubtedly one of his songs of the highest technical and musical level. My respects, talented young lady, you really impress me when I watch your videos. @@DataType-X I will, I think I saw him play it when he was really young. He must have an updated version. Regardless I’m still impressed with Sina. She plays all the fills. Peter Criss never did that live & it always bugged me lol. He mainly just stuck with the snare & bass drum with cymbals through a lot of the song. I look forward to hearing Avery version. I know he does Black Diamond extremely well. ✌️

Well done both of you You Rock Sina.😊
Last year I watched Kiss show for the third time in Brazil. Every time I hear this song it feels like the first time. Congratulations on the incredible talent on the drums.
As a drummer of 30+ years, it warms my heart seeing a young person use the traditional grip. Not often preferred because a) it’s not easy and b) it doesn’t fit the style of music played. Please stick with it. And if I could leave you with some advice - find all videos on Todd Sucherman. He is a traditional grip hard rock/pop drummer for Styx and has inspired me tremendously.
It absolutely feels weird and seems to go against the natural thinking of playing the drums. The short answer is there’s no advantage, really. For me it came a challenge to see if I could use it in harder situations. I still drop the damn thing :) I was just fascinated with guys like Stewart Copeland who can play in that style like it was an extension of his hand.
I completely agree. On the original version and especially later, only guitar noise dominates and you can't hear how good the drum section actually is. As we hear Sina's drumming, the song is pure rock and roll and much more sophisticated than the original version, which is of course good, but lacks refinement.

For a group of guys forming a band that stated they needed a gimmick to get going not being the best of playing instruments and not the best singers worked. Still going strong in their 70s keep stating their retirement about every 5 years for 20 years. Loved the song Sina one of my top favorites of Kiss. Remember when first played on the radio having that catchy drum movement.
Just makes you realise how good Peter Criss really was when you see Sina kicking butt on this one. Thanks Sina that was awesome!!! Would love to see some more early Kiss drumming from you, would love to see the drum solo from Kiss Alive that would be epic! 100,000 Years lol! Sina, I can’t thank you enough for rekindling my love for playing the drums. It was your video showcasing Ringo that first grabbed my attention and I have been following your progress as a musician since then. I love this choice of DRC. I use this beat as a body warmup nearly every time I play. It really showcases upper and lower body collaboration and dynamics with the ghost notes. You played this song so well! Rock on young lady! 🤘🏻
I've never been a KISS fan but whenever I hear a kiss song I'm magically transported back to my HS years in the mid to.late 1970s in the Bronx. Thank you for the rekindling of some happy memories 🎸🥁🎼🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎶❤😊
I've always been a KISS fan. Learning some of their history, Peter Kriss as the drummer was the best in my opinion. Many say others like Eric Carr were better, but Peter Kriss was an amazing drummer AND fit the dynamic of the group. Sung as well. They all did. When they started switching out members, the only ones who remained on vocals were Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Anyways, Peter Criss was the drum on this track and it's zmazing.
I will admit that Criss in his prime was an underrated drummer as compared to many of his contemporaries. I have always wondered if any of the original four members would have made it in the music biz without the whole make up and costumes angle. I've been a hobbyist guitarist for 50.years. I saw one of their lineups in the fall of 2005.at Madison Square Garden when they opened for Aerosmith. Ive seen many of the great rock bands over the course of my lifetime .I thought Aerosmith was fantastic and Kiss was embarrassingly medicre. However, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are marketing whizzes and they have been laughing all the way to the bank for half a century.

I feel like I've heard rumors of a younger band of KISS being formed with the help of Mr. Simmons and Mr. Stanley. If those are true and I'm remembering right, you need to be their drummer. I'm in awe at how perfect this is. In the meantime, In The Air Tonight would be awesome to hear from you. Keep going!

You really killed this one! Great Job!! So powerful, tight and accurate! Talk about "in the pocket"!! I remember when KISS came out in the mid 70's and took the world by storm! Ya, I'm a little older than you, ha ha! Peter Criss was then considered to an "ok" drummer because his beats seemed pretty basic, but, solid. Actually, now that I'm a "veteran drummer" I realize that his playing was very appropriate for every song he did and that he's really quite a good drummer who was trained as a jazz "swing" drummer originally and studied under his idol, Gene Krupa! Can you believe that? What a change from swing to hard hitting rock and roll with KISS! Thank you Sina. I always look forward to your videos and always enjoy them. I also like to see what you're doing in a song that I'm trying to figure out because you always seem to have the answer!
Mal wieder ein klasse Video. Und natürlich eine super Leistung! Danke. Weiter so.

Awesome girl one of my favorite songs from back in the day. Girl you hit it right on. Thanks for sharing.
You slayed it sister!! Damnnn I don't have words. Superb drumming, only a pleasure to listen. You're quite an inspiration to me, although i don't drum much these days i hope i can go back to it in the not far future. Btw idc what some people say, KISS is an amazing band.
That was incredible ... The sound of the snare and the way around the toms sounded perfect... Great performance as usual... 💯
One of my favorite kids songs of all time I used to love kiss I was big into them when I was younger..👍🎸
@@michaelplemmons1906 it’s Criss…Genius
@Sub if you are against antifa and BLM you actually think that most can’t see through their “gimmick”
That right hand reminds me so much of Moon’s technique. Love watching your grooves

Damn, how You nailed this one! It's almost scary how good You are! Keep on rocking Your boat, Sina! 😍👍
Keep going!
Attagirl Sina! This is from my era. Great music. Thanks for sharing this with your super amazing drum playing skills. You're the best! Thank you! Sincerely, David.

I enjoyed on and on
Sina Plays Drums-suddenly, I feel like I’m flying through Outer Space to an Events Horizon. I think the Event is Sina Live, Worm Hole Optional. Sina is the Real McCoy!❤🎉🎉😊
👏👏👏 Awesome as always Sina 🤟U R a Super Star, keep shining bright, all my best ;))
Mal wieder ein klasse Video. Und natürlich eine super Leistung! Danke. Weiter so.
Good to see you doing harder rock covers. Great stuff. Keep it coming.
The next Peter Chris right here!!! You go getem girl🎉 Hope Kiss is watching the next generation of the “KISS ARMY”❤
I vowed not to play any KISS songs in 2023, especially since GENE SIMMONS announced that 2023 is definitely the end of KISS. But of course you have to make an exception with SINA. What a tempo on this drum cover, wooow. SINA held up extremely well. She's a top drummer. Thank you for the cover and thank you to everyone involved. It was really fun.💖💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🙌🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍👍✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
