    In all the years I’ve been tying, I’ve attempted the generation of a square or rectangle over a rock’s face. Gave it another try early last week...and finally figured it out! Thus, this week’s video is showing you how. Please Note: The use of Side Cutters can be replaced with Scissors, and the use of a Lacing Fid can be replaced with a Screwdriver or Butter Knife.

    I'm asking honestly, (not in a mean way) is this just decorative (it is very interesting) or would you use this for some specific purpose?

    • @jamesthe-doctor8981
      @jamesthe-doctor8981 4 роки тому +1

      I’m replying honestly (not in a mean way,) that after tying hundreds of thousands (maybe millions - I’m not really sure how many,) of knots for both decorative and functional purposes, I really can’t think of anything other than decorative for this wrap. In fact, most knot tying projects referred to as “wraps” are usually decorative. However, with very little modification this could be used with things like a hand sanitizer bottle. If you wrap a bottle and leave enough to tie a loop at the bottom of the bottle and clip a carabiner through the loop, it could be carried on the belt.

      @@jamesthe-doctor8981 thank you. All I kept going to was possibly using it to weaponise the rock??? Trebuchet style, maybe. Lol
      It is a very cool idea for a water bottle holder.
      I found this channel while looking for ideas for friendship bracelets. Paracord knotting and macrame channels have been a very interesting source of new knot knowledge. Lol that's a tongue twister. 😊
      Thx again

      @TyingItAllTogether  4 роки тому +2

      Yes, primarily the wraps are for showing elaborate knots and ties...in an artful way. That said, aside from the ideas above, pulled off the rocks, each wrap could be the base for a pair of sandals or shoes, the wraps could be used to add grip to a rail, affix an arrow head or ax to a staff or handle, and a multitude of other utilitarian uses 🌿

    Hi, I bought your book a while ago and it's great. My question is, if Iwanted to make to make this wrap on a bracelet mandrel, and wear it, how would you suggest to tie it off, so it stays knotted

    My wife collects heart shaped rocks and I’d love to wrap some for her. What would be best knots or suggestions to use since they taper off at bottom? Btw she’s Irish so something Celtic would be ideal. Any suggestions anyone?

    Ace...with all the videos you have,and all the adds involved,you arent hurting for money.And one last thing.
    The way its set up here,every video you recorded,has the books one can order.Put the books available in your profile or video description section on each video.
    Its a pain in the ass to want to see what kind of knot the video is of,when the damned book add is in the way.
    If people want the books or want to know if you have abook or 2 on knots,theyll find out.You dont need to screw up the videos with book adds on every video.
    I might think about buying the books,but the badgering adds piss me to the point that I wouldnt buy them no matter how much Id like to have them.
    As if theres not enough sales pressure in the world and net these days.
