What do you disagree with?
I may actually have UCF at #1. I'm probably in the minority here, but they had a solid start in their first year in the Power 5, they use the portal very well, they have a veteran coach in Gus Malzahn, and they've also been recruiting pretty well, and currently have a top 2 class in the conference. They have the highest ceiling IMO.
@bglassman08 I can actually get behind that. A lot of things would have to go right, but they are from the state of Florida and recruit very well, and they have a lot of potential moving forward. I defiently think they belong in the top 5 at the very least.
To be fair the more you look at this conference top to bottom could be the most competitive conference in football. After you get past Utah you really could insert almost anyone. I see a lot of close games this year in this conference

@@TotallyTmanCFB but I'm curious to see how samaj Jones looks at Cincinnati. That could be a team to watch if he plays up to his 4 star ranking
I think Houston’s future is bright but I do understand why so many people are low on them. The previous HC didn’t recruit or play well. I think Willie Fritz is gonna change that
They lost so much to the portal this offseason, Wille Fritz has a lot of work to do, I think he's a solid head coach and Houston could end up higher than 14, but it's just too unpredictable.
@@TotallyTmanCFB I totally agree that the next year or two are gonna be rough. I was just looking at year 3-5 as massive improvements. Regardless, with how much parity there is in the big 12, every team has a chance
Hard agree on Utah in 2024. Schedule is very friendly. Longer term over 5 years though? That is a monster question mark to me. Coach initially said he would retire at 65. He is 64.
Also a lot of travel to the East Coast could derail some season and loss of Cali based games could hurt recruiting.
KSU: Long as Kliemann is there they should do very well. But I agree with you that this year may be too soon for Avery.
I like the UCF selection. Feels a lot to me like Texas Tech east but a year behind.
OKST is so well coached by a guy looking go nowhere. Gotta be in top 5 both this year and looking forward.
Arizona. Love the Wildcats and should be fun in Big 12 but we need to see this new coach and how the program goes.
@josephterrell2835 Honestly, I didn't really think about Kyle Whittingham retiring soon, so if he does retire, then Utah might not be the obvious #1, they might not even be top 5.
Can't get behind the k-state pick yet. Johnsons only played 1 game he played very well but still was just one game
Who's going to be better than them? The only teams that have been consistently better in the big 12 the last 3 years are Texas and Oklahoma. They just left for the sec.
@TotallyTmanCFB I honestly think this conference will be up for grabs after this year. Should be a fun conference to watch.
Colorado had a much better season than everyone gives them credit for. They had some very close games and I think they'll fix things this year and get to a bowl game or compete for the big 12. I don't see a single school in the big 12 that has the power of an Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, so it's anyone's game.
The big 12 is very wide open.

@@TotallyTmanCFB because they have gotten better with recruits the past 2 years and the transfer portal and if Neal brown stays consistent and no other team joins the big 12 like Clemson or Florida state then they can be on top of the big 12 for the next 5 years, not saying they will win the whole big 12 but saying they can be a contender
@Jesse-ft5gm They haven't gotten better at recruiting. They had multiple top 5 big 12 classes, but recently, they are only getting top 8 classes. They are an okay recruiting team, but Neal Brown and West Virginia were very average until last season, I don't think Neal Brown is a good head coach. They will be a solid bowl team moving forward, nothing better, in my opinion 🤷
@@TotallyTmanCFB well it’s very hard to predict 5 years, but this year mark my words West Virginia will be in the big 12 championship but they will lose to Utah, but they could possibly upset them
