My biggest recommendation for beginners is to just run through the rooms and loot anything that is visible. This allows you to see more rooms and find better things like the Vault Ores. Once you get to know the rooms and where they chests spawn you can spend more time looting rooms.
Also, carry Ender pearls so you can Pearl out of rooms faster especially if you fall below hallway exits
Water buckets are also amazing for lava rooms or when some mob randomly lights you on fire.
And soul flames can be crafted from wither skeleton skulls, which is really useful once you get some things you don't want to lose.
Hey Rage, this is something you should probably know. Dash works in the direction that you're looking, so look UP a little more when you use it, it'll go farther. It also works as a poor mans super jump if you look straight up, AND it works like a rocket if you're wearing an elytra.
Loving the series so far!
Couple tips:
Keep your mystery eggs a mystery so they'll stack. (Later on you can convert the eggs to hostile mob eggs)
Cobalt Apples are awesome early game for the fall immunity and fire resist
Heart Apples give you a heart of absorption that doesn't have a time limit, great for a little extra health in those early runs.
Spend lots of time on those early runs just exploring each room thoroughly, it's much better to learn the rooms early on rather than just go for bosses.
If you die outside of the vault it leaves a corpse that hold onto your items, even in lava or the void, don't worry about losing your stuff unless it's a vault run.
If you end up summoning the boss again, hit it a few times to get an idea for your damage.
Also, don't forget about vanilla potions, Strength, Speed, and Fire Resist are all super helpful.
Mob Spawning comes from two sources, passive spawning in the vaults (countered by a personal space vault modifier) and spawners. (your second run you found two graveyards which have lots of spawners)
With gifter statues you can rename them to anyone with a mojang account which is a fun way to involve the viewers (I'm Allonsy42)

About that sand room you found in first vault you should def stay longer in it for next time and clear all chests and gilded chests from it.. Also you can make vault paxel it can be use as pick, shovel and axe it's good in vault cause can get so much more hotbar slots free..

@@stienus6282 if he's in another "Safe" vault then they won't be trapped at all so i think chests that would be trapped are just regular therefore he gets more loot. Idk i haven't had the chance to play this pack quite yet so i could be being dumb
Also, cobalt apples are great for those lava rooms. It gives you fire resistance. No bosses until you have power bars
Thorns on your armor or at least the chest peice is kinda nice
ehh I have beaten bosses with strength 2 and a netherite sword its not too hard. once you hit 25 rampage: shaman makes bosses a joke
Cobalt Apples would be pretty good for the soul blaze fight too
I just keep a potion of fire resistance in my hotbar for every vault.
4x the duration of a cobalt apple and easy ingredients.
Plus now I have elvish cobalt apples are simply not as good. But yeah early on they are ok

Hey Rage love the series so far! Here are some tips for early game:
Early game mobs won't drop anything and because they keep spawning it's better to avoid them if possible.
Some vault rooms won't be worth the time in looting them because there are fewer chest than more rarer rooms (you'll get the hang of this the more you play).
A big play early game is to make a raid farm as it functions as both an xp farm and an income of totems. Totems will protect you in the vault (Some people don't like totems because it ruins the posiblity of losing to the vault)
A big part of the game is strategy to not get lost in the vault. The vault actualy is a diamond shape early game and thus a fast way of navigating is sticking to the edges of the vault. (waypoints are technicaly legit, but most player disregard them as ruining the fun in navigating the vault)
For the next skillpoints i would highly suggest twerker as it would make farming for villagers way easier, I also love ghost walk for in vault corridor(and as a last clutch because it makes you temporarily invulnerable) and I would personally not take well fit early, game as it dousn't give that much for the cost.
I personally take enderpearls into the vault because you can easily navigate long distances and in combination with elvish, you won't take any damage by the pearl as it's considered falldamage.
The trader cores are for vending machines. they trade vault brons,silver,gold for a items that can verry from golden apples to starcores (which you use to unlock mods)

I have elvish but haven't used ender pearls because I just assumed I would take damage.
This is going to save me sooo much time and get me out of heaps of tight spots.

If anyone else is reading this some of the great loot early vault rooms are the village room and the apartment room. Simply go underground for both and get those gilded chests. Also always have some ender eyes in your crate or shulker box for under the village rooms
Tweaker was like the first skill he got... What you think how he got all the enchants and why he has all the emeralds and the villiger house xD.
I recommend waiting until the last four minutes to fight the boss or leave because vault time is precious
It may be worth placing all the statues down even if they don't have the best items. Once they "die" and no longer produce items you can use a statue cauldron and combine them into an Omega statue that makes blocks infinitely
U can through them in a cauldron even if they're not dead
Fair warning a netherstar is one of the possible ingredients. I got one for my second recipe.

@@gerritson7178 a low drop chance item from a super rare neutral quark mob that runs away unless you have a diamond in your offhand.
And only spawns under Y20 in light under 5.
I had to find a mooshroom island and build a special area to make it spawn.
Hey Rage, instead of the buggy looking button on top of your altar. You could use a polished Blackstone pressure plate on top 👍
My recommendations
Save the mystery eggs. They can be used to craft hostile mob eggs.
Try using a silk touch pickaxe during the vaults so that you pick up the ores instead of mining them (you can get higher fortune levels later).
LOOT! LOOT! LOOT! As much as you can.
Vault cookies can be found and consumed until you hit level 25, so use them as soon as you find them.
The black chests are gilded chests which are better than normal chests in some ways.
Pick up every compressed blocks, they are extremely valuable
Take in experience bottles to use for altars
Take the skill 'Experienced', extremely helpful for gaining experience.
Later for when you do want to kill the boss, take the skill rampage and bring in power bars
Look for villager rooms, then dig down, you might find an end portal room, fill the 1 remaining ender eye and get 12 gilded chests
Some of this might be too much but worth it nonetheless

I would recommend building a gold farm; it will help immensely with golden apples and should gold be needed for an altar. ianxofour's youtube channel has a very easy (compared to others that require a ton of magma blocks) and efficient gold/xp farm that you could use. I'd simiairly recommend an iron farm, which are relatively easy and simple to build.

Also don't make my mistake, I built a simple turtle egg gold farm that doesn't collect xp and doesn't use item filters just death by fall damage.
Not enough gold running an autoclicker is simple I always need xp.
So go all out on your gold farm 🤑

You started improve yourself in vaults :) being anxious is totally normal. Agter level 25 with vault gear you can kill bos much easier. With that you can focus looting before 25 too. Digsites have lots of chests area that you can dig more but this is learning process. And never think someone will laugh at me. You are doing great. I played vault hunter from almost 1,5 year now. After you feel understand how it works it will become much more easier.
hey man. little tip, if you jump right before you dash you go SO MUCH further. You can also dash upwards btw:)
You can probably fight the boss, eat the hearty apples and if you find a power bar take that as well. Vault Robot is a power house so be weary of it, the Vault Blaze and Boogeyman aren’t too bad. And Boss crates May contain netherite armor as well.
You can get netherite scraps in vault chests, and even block of netherite. I saw someone found it but don't remember who was and in which room. Netherite block was just placed on surface.

compared to the newer clickbait series, this series gets way less clicks. so it isn’t profitable enough
With your Hotbar. You may want to put Blocks into your Offhand to immediately be able to block up in case it gets sketchy, at least until you get a Totem of Undying. Also you'll find value in having a Water Bucket with you to negate Fall Damage and Put out Fire.
You can also get a Cheap Bag from an Engineer Villager by Placing an Anvil as their Workstation and spending Emerals to unlock the Engineer's Toolbox. It can hold extra Potions and Tools and whatever you might need, but don't want to immediately have on your person.

u defaults to the waypoint manager so you can delete the old waypoints, and a small tip for the blocks you bring in, you can compress the netherack and bring WAY more in without taking up a ton of space
@20:30 there are no chests in the room connected to the portal. That’s how the vaults are coded. It’s intentional design.

Great vault run Rage! I heard u say u want to level up dash which is great but for dangerous situations in vaults u might want to take ghost walk. It’s like being invisible for a short time. With improved dash u still take damage, ghost walk prevents the damage becuase the mobs can’t see or hit u when in danger.
Ghost walker is great but the cooldown is really long compared to dash. in my game I find myself using dash constantly combined with mega jump and elvish for the medium danger.
And keep ghost walk in reserve for the OMG I am so dead scenario's which happen all the time 😆

In this mod pack, I've found it's better to use vein miner (level doesn't really matter) on a chunk border. For netherite mining.
I was having good luck using vein miner for netherite. The trick I use is find a black stone deposit and mine around three or so blocks and usually there is a scrap or two. Could bring bottle of enchanting to repair your pick axe and quartz mine to repair.
You can bring stacks of wool and a stack of logs and craft beds as you go while bed mining
The soulfire get could be useful early level because it's a safety net against bosses and you can't get relics yet anyways.
You need to stay longer in vaults as it gives you more vault Xp and let’s you get more stuff from the vault,also if you don’t know in your research tab you should first research the decorative mods as getting them decreases all the other researches cost, while others increase the cost
Early game, it is worth soul flaming your vault crystals. That way if you die in the vault, your inventory is saved as it was when you entered the vault. That includes your armor too.
Also, trade up some weapons, tool, and armor villagers. Really handy.
Just so you know in that first of all you did when you got the dig site there's like 10 clusters of chests under all of that sand that one room alone was worth spending your whole vault in
You should go to the end again and get elytra and shulkers. The elytra will help exploring overworld, and you don't need rockets because of dash ability. Focus on vault loot only in the vaults. The ores are important, and you can play a little bit closer on the time. I'd say until 4 or 5 mins left, even 3 if you're feeling brave with your pve skills. And there are other objectives. Like killing mobs, sacrificing hearts, etc. They are little altars around the large stone totems.
Also start some farms for vanilla items, and put the statues above a chest
for netherite i like to do the tnt explosion method. i find it as good as bed explosions with being less deadly
The longer your in the vault the more exp from it. It's all about the time the longer the better
The soul blaze is pretty easy if you are fire immune, or have water.
A quick question. I noticed your YT series are somewhat on the shorter side. Is it your plan to do the same with Vault Hunters?
Honestly, I have to wait and see! Usually my series end for 1 of 3 reasons, being 1) my viewers get very bored of it after 20-30 episodes, 2) my viewers actively HATE it, or 3) we actually finish the series. I am not sure how this one will go yet since I know this is a super long pack, but I plan to at least continue it until my viewers lose a significant amount of interest if that ever happens.

Guy, who found block of netherite is DoorskyGaming in ep.7, around 3 min into epesode. Can watch it to get an idea what rooms to search..
you should use a shield when mining for neitheright to reduce blast damage from the beds :)
He can't make a shield yet. The modpack changes the recipe to be quite a bit harder.
For netherite I found it's best to turn on chunk borders (F3+G) and strip mine alongside a border on layer 14/15. Same can be said for vault crystals in the overworld below layer 10 iirc.

I find the bosses very easy. Just eat 6 heart apples, 1 power bar, 1 cobalt apple and in that order. Then immediately summon the boss and go hay on it.
I even defeated the golem in 15 secs. I did have prot4 netherite and sharp 5 sword tho. No abilities for fighting

strip mining for ancient debris is actually more resource and time efficient than the bed method
You can also use TNT for mining Netherite. Just make a long 2x1 tunnel, place 1 TNT at the end and then leave 3 blocks and place another TNT. Continue this process until the tunnel ends. Then light up the first TNT and it will cause a chain reaction. Also due to the 3 block gap the TNT will not just YEET the next TNT.
For vaults it's better to use a silk pick because u will get higher levels of fortune using vein miner and u will need it coz vault gems are needed
Hi Rage! When do you think you might try to unlock a new mod to work on?
Eg: mekanism, thermal series, etc
The mods are really expensive to unlock, I took waystones for my 1st one which was pretty early thanks to getting a knowledge star from a vendy boy.
That increased the cost of every other mod by +1 🥵
Then I had to spend 2 knowledge points for a decoration mod to discount other stuff.
It's a long process and I think mekanism is 6 points.
I wouldn't expect to see a strong mod like that until probably at least episode 12 and vault level 50

My favorite, and rage-quit, moment was when the Vault Boss was summoned directly on top of me and killed me immediately...The Vault had Extra and Regen, I had Full Netherite Armor with Max Enchants (many, many, many, many hours of grinding)...so, yeah, I am done with this pack

Rage, Save your Vault Boosters up if you have to, you may end up getting more and more artifacts as time goes on, and a higher chance to get multiples of the same sets, i highly recommend it
should have taken wool and wood with you made the beds on the fly able to take more beds that way

Minecraft noob here: how is he autosorting the chests? And follow up, how is he dragging across and auto transferring from chest to inventory?
To sort a chest you can click the scroll wheel while your cursor is in the chest inventory, (Works for any inventory, chests, personal etc.) And to drag all of the items out you hold shift and left mouse and move your cursor over the items.

@@RagePlaysGames yes eat the cookies all the cookies. You also got a soul flame... put that on a crystal before going in the vault uts amazing you can risk it all and at least won't lose what you brought in.
I would definitely say boogieman is the easiest and soul blaze the second easiest. Taking strength potion and putting soul flame on the crystal could be a good strategy to try out killing a boss. But power bars should always be a priority for boss killing if you have them.
@@pawsomekat2003 boogieman is easy if you have smite 5. And yes agreed power bars are needed
I have created a fully automatic tree farm using quark, in my vault hunters world.
(No autoclicker needed simply does it's thing)

Bonemeal, 1 tick redstone clock to dispenser.
Sapling 1 item hopper clock to dispenser.
Tree breaking, double piston extender with end rod iron nugget thingy attached, hooked up to an easily adjustable repeater redstone clock so I can easily adjust timings as needed.
Collection hopper minecart underneath.
Simply fill up bonemeal and saplings and let it run.
Some saplings get refunded.

He either has to unlock the mod to create a backpack or find one in a vault.
just dig around the trapped chests to remove the tnt and then loot them... problem solved.
