i had to replay this several times to get my 10 leaders done. im going to be humming "eah me? you." for months. definitely the clearest and easiest to follow demonstration of the rig.
Exceptional instructional video. Braid is what I use as well. It holds better and is secure whereas mono can slip and when that leading hook slips when a powerful fish is on, such as king or silver salmon, it often means a lost fish. The only thing I do differently is use uglier braid lol.
I don’t quite understand how you put the braid through the eye of the hook and when you you pull it tight it’s clearly outside of the eye. Is this a magic trick lol?
Have you ever used two hooks the same size and completely bury the main hook in the bait like a Carp hair rig?? Use the top hook to catch the fish?? I want to use a large hard salted bait with small circle hooks.
Unlikely to cause abrasion, as such, due to QUALITY braids being 'slippery'. I'm guessing there could be a very slim chance the braid could cut into the mono/fluoro, but I think that is unlikely. Eg, the FG knot relies on the braid tightly gripping the leader material and it is generally accepted as the strongest leader to braid knot. Also, I doubt Tackle Tactics would have a video on their channel that was untested.

Brilliant idea to use braid in order allow the top hook to slide. Definitely give that a try!
Always good info shared by Tackle Tactics & this sliding snell rig demonstraion by Wayne Groomes tells us Wayne is no slouch.

Thanks, you made it look easy. Love your choice of music too.
