The bends in the beginning are actually played behind the nut on the sixth string.

I think they did it like that because theres no way to tab bending open in rocksmith, but they used an octave pedal to make the sameish note

I bend the neck to get the same effect instead of bending behind the nut. Open E and a slight bend on the neck gets that's open intro pretty good

the original recording was not in tune so it was pitch shifted it be in tune
