    I absolutely LOVE your art!!! You have been very inspiring to me 😊 I’ve been an artist my entire life but only specialized in drawing & painting. I took some 3D classes in college and loved them and now I’ve started working with polymer clay. I admit that I have fallen in love with the 3D arts and am upset I never took an interest in high school! I am experimenting with a few different mediums right now but an art doll is next on my list. I hope to be able to make these as beautiful as you do. Thank you so much for the inspiration and thank you for sharing your ideas and processes! 😊😊😊

    So.... Does an ice phoenix melt when it dies, and is then reborn from the puddle? :O

      Random Phantom Sorry, not really, I'm not a HP fan.. :O I just only know of regular phoenix, and they burst into flame and are then reborn form the ashes, so the puddle thing just made sense to me.. :O

    You had said in another post that you use a glass vase to sculpt on. How do you remove the heads without distorting them? Also I'm trying to make my first head (fox). Would you hollow out the nose? Mine is very heavy - I may need to do it over. Thank you! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge so others can try to make art dolls!

    this a beautiful work, BUT. i would have added some more details on the foam feathers, because they look super flat, compared to the fur. the details could be painted, or printed with a small heated metal tool. but it really looks nice and your technic seems right and efficient.

    will the glitter come out (you know, when you put glitter on cards and when you touch it it comes out).

    • @bubblyleafcreations
      @bubblyleafcreations  7 років тому +3

      O! no it won't come off like that lol! What I'm using for the glittery parts on the wings and tail is a kind of very thick fabric that I found around the felt at my art store, it comes in small paper sized sheets. So its not like something that just has the glitter glued on.

      If you mean the glitter on the claws, remember she put resin over the sculpting.
      Hey Bubblyleaf, do you just paint on the resin? What does that process look like? What resin are you using? Thx!! ^_^

    I would have to disagree that air dry clay is very fragile :) I exclusively use DAS White Natural Air Dry clay and it's proven to be able to take quite a beating! Fantastic video though :D I love the idea of an ice phoenix!
