Hi Guys, I make this small press drill out of scrap metal and some motorcycle parts, Hope you like it. Stay safe and don't forget to Subscribe my channel.
I'm impressed with how well this came out. It seemed like you were 'eyeballing' a lot of the hand drilling and cutting, and yet with quite a lot of eventual precision in the result.
How do you not have more content. This is gold. If you released one video like this a month and slowly got better at video work you’d make a killing. Do the smallest mill, smallest blasting cabinet, smallest hydraulic press, smallest magnetic chuck, smallest grinder, smallest belt sander, smallest planer, and the smallest lathe. Then when you get super popular people will start wanting to buy them and you can make tooling to mass produce them. lol
This press has worked like a charm for my projects ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!
This dudes skilled at whatever job he does. The lack of measurements and precision he made the drill press with is impressive. Not many people have hands on skills and engineering knowledge
Love it I wish I had the tools to do this , I would become addicted to learning and would some day be a beast too , I’m a carpenter , I do a lot of standing seem metal roofs , build houses and we manufacture our own flashing , this would be awesome
get a lathe and a millingmachine , u can get a lathe for 500 to 1000 usd. and a milling machine from 600 upwards! check mini lathe and mini mill. i have a bit a bigger lathe and a mini mill and i mae my first engine this week!
Please make more "mini tools" like sanders, planers, thicknessers, jigsaws, angle grinder ( this would be so useful for getting into small spaces ), mini pipe benders for really small metal tubes, mini bench saw, mini multi angle compound mitre saw ( this would be very hard to accomplish), mini sheet metal bender/press ( for bending really tiny metal boxes, mini metal roller for making straight metal in to curves and circles ( don't know if this is even possible but I'm gonna challenge you for this one !). Anything you could figure out how to make in miniature would be amazing and I know a lot of model making hobbiests would love to see them. Great video which is why I got so enthusiastic about the miniature range and why subscribed. Please keep it up.
One can do 1/12 scale knifes, hand planers, saws and axes that are from right materials and actually cut wood. Metal cutting/grinding tools are bit more harder to make and power tools you run into issues with size of the motor and bearings. Thats is about what limits the size, so its actually in scale. I have couple dozen such working models made, but havent delved into power tools for mentioned reason of motor size.
Everytime I feel like I came up with some neat and cool I see video like this and realize my stuff is nothing compared to the ingenuity of the stuff some of you guys make wow this is awesome
This would be a fantastic addition to my modelmaking tools - not really necessary as I have hand drills in various shapes and sizes, but just the sheer kudos of showing one off to my friends and saying "Yeah, I just made it a few weeks ago after watching a UA-cam video and thought it might come in usefull" would leave them speechless as there is one guy who just buys every conceivable tool out there. I am just going to have to try and make one of these ! Now where are my tools....
Lindo trabalho perfeito gostei de mais sempre tive o sonho de ter uma grande mais a minhas condições não dar mais ficou um ótimo trabalho perfeito show.
It looks amazing! Great job! 👍👌👊 The only thing that maybe need is a speed control for lower rpm. And some lublrication for the drill bit so it doesnt wear out fast.
I love watching these DIY videos, love making stuff with my hands as well, but so far so on youtube I haven't seen a more genious video of a project this size. You sir just deserved my sub :D
if this thing had a distance of 15 cm or so between the center line of the drill bit and the post it would be ideal for macbook keyboard replacements. maybe then I could actually drill out the rivets without drilling off angle... XD
@@TheJttv exactly. The tolerances he would need on a drill press for a freaking MacBook would be considerably more expensive than is feasible and take up massive amounts of space.
Ну если что, сверлу такого диаметра это даже мало оборотов. На в скидку сверло где-то 0,5 или 0,8мм и ему смело можно давать до 30.000об/м. Так что тут регулятор не к чему...
Had those at school. In the printed circuit board etsing ( acid bath) and hole drilling room. about the same size. Worked fine. Bought ones. But yours looks much better.
People might think it is not practical or useless but for people who make DIY PCBs for school or projects like me, this mini drill press is great tool for drilling holes for through-hole components.

I didn't realize before you wrote it, but that is exactly how I like to work too -> Eventual precision :-D
Is how mechanics, especially gifted should work.

Hi
Precision eyeballing*
I've been a machinist for 45 years and this is the coolist thing I've ever seen built from start to finish. Great job.
This absolutely rocks.
It is pretty tough to do tiny holes in thick material. You did a brilliant job here.
Now I want one. Heck, i want a whole shop of "tiny tools". Great job!
Then you can use all those tiny tools to make bigger tools!!
@@metatechnologist Or use them to make smaller tools........

Vc vende seus trabalhos ???
*Friend* - "hey can I borrow your drill press?"
*Him* - "sure buddy no problem" 😏
Give it a magnetic base and you have a very small drill for accurate on site drilling of micro holes.

That is awesome I’ve never seen a drill press as small as that actually working it looks like a normal sized one thanks for sharing

This would be amazing for someone that makes alot of small items for Stopmotion fabrication.

Look into a Proxxon professional rotary tool IBS/E a with a MB 200 drill stand.
Or a Proxxon drill press
Why not just buy a normal bench top drill press? You can put a small bit in there…

тебе нужен регулирятор оборотов на таких высоких оборотах сверло быстро потеряет работоспособность. а так всё 🤩

Вообще-то в том контроллере от радиомодели это штатная вещь. ШИМ регуляторы без радиоуправления есть на али.
Outstanding work in the best traditions of ‘hand made’ craftsmanship.
What a fun build! Great job on the drill press and video

That is just too awesome. Good job.
I love how you’re just doing it
Doing those tiny TIG welds on the hinge and so on without just melting everything takes quite some skill!

Now that’s cool! Nicely done, I love how it turned out...
Haha, turned out. Nice
Great work! It takes real talent to do a project like that!

Absolutely adorable!
That is awesome, impressive mechanism build 🙂
Wow I'm impressed 👏 that baby drill sure don't at like a little baby it has some serious power 😳
That lil things got torque!
This is a really beautiful mini drill press, well done.

What a genius ! Just so mini .
Id love to see a mini hydraulic press! Could use it to insert tiny bearings into things!

People might think it is not practical or useless but for people who make DIY PCBs for school or projects like me, this mini drill press is great tool for drilling holes for through-hole components.
Well, except for needing an entire machine shop of normal sized tools to fabricate the tiny tool, pretty cool video.
