- This week on model cars and coffee we go way back to the kits that brought me back to the hobby. Focusing on the 1/20 Tamiya Ferrari F2001 I built back in 2017. As always thanks to Paul @LeftCoastModelCarBuilds for having this idea. Can’t wait to watch what everyone else shows off.

Love the back story I have modeled for more than 60 years and have found its a great relaxation from a high pressure job !! Thanks for showing😊😊
@@bobtalbot7060 Bob, thank you very much for taking the time to watch! I agree that there is nothing more relaxing than some time at the work bench. I just love it. Keeps the mind occupied and it’s definitely my happy place.
Great build, great back story!
@@BillyStrangeAutoModels thanks Billy!! Appreciate you checking it out.

Well done with the Ferrari. I love to build and see on the shows tables models of Formula 1 and Indy racecars. Thanks for the video.
@@thecrapgaragechannel. thank you! I was fortunate to see this one race in person. I also love building these and seeing them on the tables. Appreciate you watching!
Very cool build Kyle and I love your back story brother ❤😊

😊❤❤❤
That's really cool Kyle, ☕👍
@@ramblers69 thanks Tom!! Appreciate you swinging in to have a look.
Race cars good, Ferrari race cars even better! Have one of these in my stack of shame, waiting until I get a lot more talent before I attempt it though. Yours looks awesome, it's held up well over the years!
@@scaleffect thank you!! ah, you could do justice to it right now. I know you could. It’s a wonderful kit. Thanks for dropping in to watch!
Nice survivors Kyle. The Indy car is beautiful! I just picked up a Quaker State Indy Car. Haven't built one yet. Thanks for the story.👍✌
@@themediocremodeler-zm7ny thank you! I may have that Quaker state car stashed away also. Really appreciate you watching!
Great story and build! I've never built an indy car. Looks fun! I'm thinking about gettting one of the new Salvinos kits
@@1968fordman I have 2 of those and they look really nice. I think they’re going to be a fun build. This is a Tamiya Formula 1 build and I highly recommend Tamiya’s whol lineup of those if you ever get the chance to find one at good price. They are a blast to build. Thank you very much for watching
Love the F1 build. That came out really nice. Interesting that you made it as the #2 car and not the #1 car. Those 1/20th scale cars are really nice.
@@LarrysModelShop thanks Larry! I don’t typically like to do the number 1 drivers. The exceptions are if I really like a driver or a performance in a certain car. I’ll usually build Sennas cars over his teammate, Gilles Villeneuve is another must build. In this case I was indifferent to both Schumacher and Barrichelo so I built the number two. Appreciate you watching.
Excellent build on the Ferrari -- I haven't built any F1 cars for some reason, I'm not sure why.
@@brucek3217 thank you Bruce! I highly recommend the Tamiya lineup of F1 cars to anyone remotely interested. They’re really wonderful kits, even straight out of the box. Thank you very much for watching
Sweet Ferrari. I have a couple of Tamiya F1 car kits. I built the Tyrrell P34 way back when ( I don't know what happened to it) and after seeing a real one, I bought another. Love those kits!
@@JDsHouseofHobbies oh man the Tamiya F1 kits are so nice. I’m working on a Lotus 107 right now. I have the P34 also. They’re just fun to build. Thank you for watching!
@kyledehartsscaleworks Is the Lotus the Johnny Player car? I think I have one as well.
@@JDsHouseofHobbies the lotus is a newer one. It’s Castrol Loctite. But I have the John players one too. That one is iconic. And a great kit.
@@kyledehartsscaleworks Yeah, I grew up watching that car.
@@JDsHouseofHobbies it’s such a. Great looking car. The black and gold looks amazing. Those are probably my favorite Lotus F1 cars.
