Literally, every chance they got, the voted for Sunoo to go to the ground even though he was really good. So when they finally opened the voting to public, Sunoo ranked no. 1 because well, everyone loved his talent AND him. And many other participants couldn't digest it and were super jealous.

But in I-Land part. 2, with the global vote going on, he ALWAYS got the 1st place (with a huge difference from 2nd btw) and everyone was shocked, including Sunoo himself. It was SO satisfying to see him getting the benefits and recognition that he deserved 😌 7:20 and here he was laughing at Heeseung cause he (Sunoo) was currently ranked 1st but Hee was sitting in the rank 1st (Sunoo's) chair (not on purpose, out of the habit cause he was always ranked first by the judges)
