Gotta start with pets on the back, head pets take some trust before they are accepted. My lil fuzzball wouldn't let me pet her head until a few weeks of regular back pets and other affections, she wouldn't swat but she'd duck away like 'nop'. I rescued her as a kitten when she came to my door 😻😻
