I realize that she and probably most of you are really into doll photography, but I miss the useable stuff. Especially, now that she has more experience I would really like to be able to use these crafts to play with for kids. I know that they would enjoy a fridge that opens.
@@flowers-and you can take those chests and glue them together leaving the hardware on it to open or close it. Doing that will allow for a working fridge. If you want shelves use popsicle sticks. Paint however you like and don't paint the hardware. If needed you could take the hardware off to paint and then put back together. That's something I would've done for a working fridge. For cabinets you can use the chests and decorate it to look like cabinets but they would not open like a cabinet would but it works for storage. If you want the cabinets to open the way they are supposed to use the foam board to make them and use paper over the edges so the door can open and close. If you want you can use real hinges found at a hardware store or from those chests. You can also glue popsicle sticks together to make a few wood chairs that can be painted or stained with wood stain for what look you want. If you use wood stain make sure you spray with a clear coat to keep the clothes from getting stained. I would also spray if I paint something to keep the paint from chipping or coming off in the future if a kid uses it to play with. Instead of a window you could buy a mini canvas from Hobby Lobby or the Dollar tree that fits to paint a simple painting on it. You could put a small nail in the wood or a small tack that won't go completely through to hang the canvas. Get the canvases that aren't completely flat in the back to hang easier. With the tiny canvases you can have the kid paint something on one or more than one for them to use. If you want to you can use a completely flat tiny canvas and hang it the same way she hangs the window in the video. Also with doll rooms like that you can stack them and make a roof to make a complete doll house but you may need button lights that work off of batteries if it's a bit darker if this is done. You can put one in the center of each room ceiling for extra light. If you can't find button lights use sets of fairy lights from the dollar store that are battery powered and find an easily accessible spot to Glue the battery pack onto that hides it from plain sight.
If using metallic acrylic paint and you want a shinny finish, you should first give it a black base layer and then apply your metallic paint. Really makes the shine more noticeable.
I have an old Barbie dream house that is getting fixed up. I got it for free from a neighbor who smokes so the paper on the back walls was damaged from smoking around it. I had to remove all the paper and will be replacing it with wallpaper from the store. There's no mirror behind the sink because it was printed on the original paper so I'm taking one from a small cheap makeup palette my mom had to glue behind the sink. It's going to be a real working mirror unlike the original one. For the missing shower door I'm going to use a wooden dowel or a toothpick to make felt curtains that can come on and off of them for different color options. Using felt will limit how much I have to sew if I need to at all. I might find a bead that fits perfectly on it to use as a way to hold the shower curtain open when slid so that the shower curtain won't slide and somehow close with the way I make it. I was thinking to just acordain fold the felt piece that was cut to fit the shower and put holes in the top for the curtain rod made from either a toothpick or a wooden dowel so I wouldn't have to sew to make curtains. Since there's the spots made for holding the door on the shower I'm hoping to use it to hold the curtain rod in place
Absolutely 👍 GENIUS ,CUTE TOO ! As child I always loved doll houses ! Now I am an old Lady 👵🏻 I still love doll 🏠 houses ! And Barbie dolls ! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas and time showing us how to make furniture and the doll house it’s self !👍❤️🙏👵🏻😻
Love to see Perla booking thumbnails! Can’t wait for Life on the Shelf and Sommer and Cali! Love the kitchen it looks beautiful! I would love to see a Princess room super dreamy with a canopy or four poster bed with lots of flowers! Hope your voice recovers soon!
The green works well with the white and the marble. I love the window! I love the stove! I love the table! I love the sink! Who am I kidding? I love it all! It feels homey and the colors are calming. Simple, yet elegant. I bet it fits in perfectly in the she shed. Well done once again!
This is hands down my favorite Toya craft of all time! Thank you for all your inspiration and assurance that even if you have kids in college it’s still ok to play with dolls😁
I would love to see a garage. I have been watching you from the very beginning when it all started with the time machine. You are amazing and so talented.
I wait everyday for your videos Froggy! I love when you make things like this because I can follow along and make my own! To anyone reading, I hope you have a great day! 😊
I would like to see victorian library... dark, cluttered room full of armchairs, blankets, books and bookcases. With fireplace and tiny round table for tea ❤
OMG!!!!!! What can I say, TOYA you are a GENIUS!!!!!!!! I LOOOOOOOVVVVV EEEEEE the silver and marble contact paper!!!! The silver make the stove look so real!!!! The silver snaps for the knobs are pure genius! Wow, how many kitchens have you made????? “10” maybe?
MyFroggyStuff, I would love to see you make some of the appliances for your new kitchen, Air fryer, Keurig coffee machine and k cups. Also a grill with a working top or lid. I love the crafts thanks for sharing. All items from Dollar Tree of course.
My daughter and I are today gonna try this!!! It’s such a GREAT IDEA!!!! Thank you SOO Much for making this Video!! My daughter adores you and your daughter both soo much! Thanks for all you guys do!
I'd love to see some content using thrifted item crafts. I see so many things at thrift stores that I think would make awesome mini additions, for all kinds of scale. I bet your imagination and crafting skills could create some fun things!
This came out so cute, pretty soon you are going to have to do another Sheshed tour so we can see everything set up on the shelves. You are an amazing crafter!
See, when I saw the materials, I assumed that the hinged boxes would be for a fridge that opens, but I bet that the way they opened would have looked odd for a fridge. It does make me want to figure out how to make a fridge that opens though. Hmm. Time to ponder my materials again. XD As always, you add another twenty things to my 'to be made' list, so yay? LOL
I used to do this kind of thing for my Barbies back in the 80s. It's the closest I ever came to owning my own home lol. I'd still do it if I had the space!
you've really gone wild on this one. no stone unturned. every possibility made reality. You raised the cabinets. You made a farmhouse sink. You made a stainless steel fridge. A marble countertop island! unprecedented innovation. revolutionary insight. never stop
I've always loved the kitchens you've made and how they evolved. The shelving wall is reminiscent of a real life wall of Martha Stewart. She displayed her huge jadeite collection which would have looked great with that celedon green you created As always, well done!
OMG, this is amazing! I was like, how is she going to make kitchen appliances out of those boxes? Absolutely amazing! I love this! And that window is genius!
You are amazing!!!! I made the doll crib and a changing table for my granddaughters barbie's, by watching your videos. I've never been a very good crafter but your videos have been such a big help and so fun to watch what you do:)))
Wow! I know that I'm a few days late; but, the kitchen looks awesome. And the other room made the same way looks great, too. I hope to see a living room re-done in the future or maybe a home office space. The choices are endless. I plan on making sets this way for my future stop -motion film projects.
Toya, please tell Mini Toya I absolutely love her new wooden kitchen. My favorite parts are her window and scenary outside the window and her shelves. I saw that in a Martha Stewart Living Magazine. You are sooo talented. I am currently binginh "A Discovery of Witches" and I have fallen in love with the castle Sept-Tours. You should re-create the Great Room. Just a thought. Thanks for this video. Mini Toya is going to LOVE cooking in her new kitchen.
Loved this! What about making a garden Conservatory complete with tea tables where the dolls can have their luncheons together. Have you sec the Victorian conservatory in the Biltmore estate? Scale it down and simplify it to an indoor garden room/ greenhouse. Love your channel!
I love watching your videos. I really love your craft ones the most. I wish you could make your own design of doll house made of wood with working parts like doors, cabinets, lights and etc. I would love to see your spin and modern style doll house for your barbies
I really like this wooden furniture from the dollar store. I love these rooms can moved around to make different angles. Love that. I'm pretty upset that the refrigerator doesn't work. I was kind of sad about it because I love things that actually work. I love the reflecting table with the clear chairs from Amazon. Love it. Love that the kitchen island can be used as a eating area. Love it. Overall, I really like this room in a hidden doll room and I love the fact that this room can be used and stores up for easy storage. Love it. P.S Are you going to use this room as an apartment kitchen on Sommer and Cali? If you use it, that would look so cool. (Sorry if I'm asking this question repeatedly but I can't help myself! I love the set that you use in your show. Love it.)
At this point, we're gonna have a whole doll kingdom, man. Fully decored
A whole kingdom of doll kitchens, lol 😂
😊

A modern kingdom
I came looking for cheaper-than-brand-name ideas for my little boy's dollhouse; I stayed for the beauty and creativity!
She has done galaxy and Marvel's rooms.
I like the hidden rooms so they can be stored easily.
@@shannancarothers4578 awesome!
Same!
