HK is a a very densely populated city, So yes, Hotel rates are expensive like in Singapore and Japan.

You can Load an octopus card by using HKD. So Yes, HKD is a must.

@@RandomVideos-kl3rm Instead of exchanging at HK Airport you can exchange in India itself. So that once your immigration over , you can easily buy Octopus card , and while returning yon can hand over octopus at same counter if you wish and get balance HKD cash in hand.

It depends on how your answers are genuine at Immigration.
In my case they didn't ask any questions , just shown my return ticket , they let me pass through immigration.
