I have a feature film idea I want to produce in a year or two (once I'm more established, I just graduated college) and I'm realizing how helpful these updates will be in teaching me what indie productions are actually like!!

Sounds like an interesting process, probably makes auditioning much more accessible without travel requirements and such... though I guess that is counter acted by need to have good internet and web cam and such.

Good eye! I am Chicago-based. Most of my family is from the upper peninsula of Michigan and we had a family function up there this weekend. It's also why this update looks so bad. Cell phone footage edited on a super old version of imovie. We haven't upgraded the travel gear since the old days.

As to the charge, depends on how much I guess, but from what you said, it sounds like you're hiring a company as a casting assistant/scheduler (?).
