  • I'm not a professional musician, but I do love the ukulele and recently got a harp ukulele. When I was considering the Emerald, I didn't see a lot of reviews and very few videos of it being played. I figured I'd put another up for people considering a harp ukulele. I'll also post music that I record with the instrument, as I get more proficient with it.

That was the best demo on harp Uke I’ve seen. Thank you. Please tell me if the ukulele part comes tuned with high G or low G on the fourth string. Thanks again.

Excellent review. Did you have issues with the nut accepting the larger diameter Kamaka strings?

Great question. No, I've not had any issues with that at all. The one issue that I have had is the larger diameter strings not fitting well into the little beads that attach the string to the bridge. I also had one of them break, as the smaller string's knot passed through the hole and split the plastic bead. I ended up ordering my own beads that were glass. If the bead has a 1mm hole and was 3 to 4 mm itself, it worked fine. I've not had any repeats on the breaking of beads since I replaced them with glass (Emerald did rush me more of their plastic beads when I told them that one had broken...the instrument only comes with the 4 original ones).

I was wondering if it came with a bag. 👍🏻

Do you still live in Colorado? I would just love to see this uke in person.

I do, but I sold this ukulele. I loved it, but this instrument is really a solo play instrument and I needed a really nice standard ukulele to play in a group. So, I sold it and bought a wood Kanile'a ukulele.
