Some of the vulture species can get really big indeed! Great story you had there but I can imagine being a bit scared when such a big bird is right above you! 😊😲
I actually met a vulture once. Was walking my dogs and there was a Vulture in the middle of the neighborhood street eating some roadkill squirrel. Every time a car came, it waddled to the sidewalk, let the car pass, then went back to the carcass (instead of just picking up the carcass but hey, it does what it does). When my dogs barked at it, it just gave us a curious look before going back to eating. A polite and fearless thing, if not a bit behind in critical thinking regarding how to eat with minimal waddling.
Awe that’s adorable! Vultures have flat feet and blunted talons, so most of them are unable to grip or carry things with their feet; this is likely why the vulture didn’t move the carcass out of the road.
Fun fact: California Condors were once found all across North America, from the Atlantic to Pacific coasts. When most of the large animals went extinct or became rare, the Condors in California survived by adapting to eat whale carcasses. I wouldn’t mind having herds of Bison and Elk and flocks of California Condors here in my area. I hope other people think the same, and these beautiful birds can be reintroduced.

I've always seen Vultures are cool animals. They can sore for hours without flapping, they can travel island to island. Best part is that they can almost Anything! If there was an option to turn into an animal, I'd become a Vulture, probably the Bearded vulture or the Andes Condor. It's silly but they're such amazing animals. I plan on getting a vulture so that the neighbourhood kids and adults could interact and understand Vultures.
Those are Andean condors, the largest species of vulture, among the largest extant flying birds, and the largest living birds of prey! And any little bit of sympathy I had for poachers just went right out the window. I had no idea Old World vultures were in such trouble. At least the turkey and black vultures here in the US are in good shape. There are huge numbers in my area, and I see several of them every day.

Hope this channel will grow rapidly and receive the attention it deserve
This video totally changed my mind about vultures now I see how Good they are for the planet
This is so great to hear! They really do play a crucial part in the planet´s ecosystem 🌱
you should've known what vultures does for the environment in High school....
Can you pls make a video on how can we common people can save endangered species 🤔🙏
I agree. People must be informed.
Fricken Vultures hide from me in Assassin's Creed Origins. I need them to finish the quest with the tanner
Oh no! the Ruppels Vulture is endangered....they are the highest flying bird in the world, wtf have we done :(
One thing is vile of all is those evil poachers who illegalily kill poor animals and poisoning them resulting vultures getting posioned in the process. I wish all poachers and soon to become one be locked up for the rest of their days, this is so inhumane and they are lower than goblins to be honest at what they do to the poor animals that are endangered.
In my state jammu and kashmir
Vulture population declined exponentially.
Now i can hardly see any vulture.Only eagles 🦅 are found on dead animals.🥺
Because of Islam. I hope India will successfully get rid of Islam.
Don't see how you can equate death of scavengers with Islam and the geopolitical issues involved with Pakistan and India.
And id even go as far to point out, opinions like yours are what keeps perpetuating hatred in kashmir and jammu.
@@Ray-od7xz It could be Islam. As Islam does not encurage being a vegetarian thus causing people to greedily hunt animals.
@@arolemaprarath3248 seeing the video on your account I'm a 100% sure you're not indian .
Looked it up ... You're a troll bait trying to pretend and spread hate by acting to be from one community
@@Ray-od7xz he's not indian ...
He's a troll . look up his name on Google , he's supposedly a well known troll bait name ...
Used to purposely try and start religious and race debates
Wow!!
Vultures are unique animals whose importance in the ecosystem are highly underrated. Until we understand how important every living creatures are, we may not last too long.
Biodiversity is crucial.
Ecosystem needs to be balanced.
Thank you for this episode it needs to be highlighted it's just seems like there is nothing humans won't destroy for their own selfish gains😞😞😞☹️
"Eeeeeh Hoomans Bad"
Also humans trying to help this species.
What?
There are a lot of bad humans, who destroy the world for selfishness and vanity. But I also love seeing how many people are committed to saving the ecosystem. There is still hope.
vultures are underrated just like this channel..
keep up.. we are with you
That's what I'm going to say.
I LOVE VULTURES! Always have since I was a kid! That they are being poisoned when they are needed to keep the lands clean is SICK!!!
Thanks for the video. It raise my understanding on Vultures.
That is amazing to hear Winston 😊🙌
Anything in America is at risk so im not surprised 😂
I'll never understand how people can be stupeid enough to think some animal body parts can be used as medicine.
Great to hear that you see them for the great work they do to keep the planet healthy 😊🌍🌏🌎
7:20 what a beautiful scene ! Bravo to those who dedicate their lives by saving animals.
You don't even have to dedicate your life to make an impact: simply changing your dietary choices to cut out animal flesh goes a long way.
@@hoominbeeing It’s been a couple of years I don’t eat meat .
Those are Andean condors, the largest species of vulture, among the largest extant flying birds, and the largest living birds of prey! They have near 11 ft wingspans and are gorgeous, especially in flight! Releasing any vulture back into the wild is an awe-inspiring experience, but with Andean condors, it’s almost magical.
Well it seems like we need to make a big change in our attitudes towards Vultures around the world!!! Love a Vulture!!!
That is a great attitude Lynn! We need more of that positive spirit 😊🙌 Spread the word!
Man..😱😱
This video is stunning 👏🏻👏🏻
Loving Terra Mater ❤️
We are very happy to hear that you liked our new video that much 😊 and our Channel overall 🥰
@@lenafromterramater3690 🤗🤗🥰
Is it just me or are they kinda cute doe 😳
And any little bit of sympathy I had for poachers just went right out the window.
I had no idea Old World vultures were in such trouble. At least the turkey and black vultures here in the US are in good shape. There are huge numbers in my area, and I see several of them every day.
Amazing to hear that you see so many of them in your area 😊 Where are you from?
@@lenafromterramater3690 Northwest Georgia. Yeah, it isn't uncommon to see dozens of vultures at a time circling around, piling onto roadkill, or resting in trees. I kind of take them for granted, I guess; this video definitely increased my appreciation for them.
Vultures do the most nasty/significant job in animal ecosystem and still keep themselves so clean than others 😄👌
Thanks to their bald heads they stay clean while feeding on carcasses 😉
My family hates vultures despite them being the biggest bird in the area. Honestly very selfish to me.
Thankfully though, the california condor is making a great recovery and their future looks very bright
