Thank you, great vid. Thanks for the reminder about tugging on the connections to make sure they’re seated and for the tools list. Direct and to the point. And thanks for no annoying music so we can hear you nice and clear. 👍🏽
This is taken from Alla's website and the reason for the "Residual Drain"... "Load resistors are used for fix LED signal lights bulbs upgrade hyper flash/fast blinking due to led bulbs draw much less power than stock lamps. When change incandescent lamp to LED, the signal hyper flash happens, adding extra load resistors equals to add more power to make it equivalent power for the vehicle and help to fix the issue." The resistor kits are available on the site from what I can see. Was hoping the Compass did not need them, as I plan on replacing my fog lights with a set of the Switchbacks!
HI I did the replacement like you did and getting the glowing light when off. How did you fix it. I tried then Resistor but then the passenger side light will not turn on???
@sleeper5815 I reached out to the company, they sent me out a new set under warranty and they only lasted 6 months… I ended up going back to the halogen bulbs and getting yellow tint to go over the lights… They wouldn’t work with me after that first replacement set so I moved on. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!!
If you changed it as a downgrade than you should be fine just won’t have the correct light output but if you increase bulb size you could melt the housing due to increased heat from the bigger bulb… If there LEDs than I would worry as much as there’s almost no heating… Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Thank you for enjoying the video, unfortunately I no longer own that vehicle. But yes I had thought about it, most are just plug and play as far as the LEDs go… As always thanks for watching!!!
Good morning, I found your video very helpful, I have a question. I recently took my car to the dealership because the Stop/Start was not working. ( I know that was due to Aux Battery was bad. But I asked them what cause the battery to last only 6 month, they told me it was due to the fog lights. I am confused, the circuit is off and no open connections. How can it drain power from the Aux. battery. The dealership unplugged the fog lights and they told me to replace the fog lights with the OEM bulbs. I have a 2021 Compass Limited. Thank you.
First off I’m sorry that your having trouble with your ‘21 compass… after installing the Alla fog lights I still have a parasitic draw after we turn off the jeep. The lights will stay very dimly lit for about 30 minutes, I have not noticed any battery issues with ours… that being said if you switch back to the OEM bulbs and the problem goes away then that’s your problem. I would honestly consider a higher/better quality bulb if your having issues like Lasfit is a great company. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Thank you for watching and enjoying the video. I hope it helped… no I have not figured out what causes them to stay on but it’s only for like 20 minutes after you shut it off so I haven’t really worried about it as for how they have held up I have had to replace the driver side bulb (under Allas 1 year warranty) it started flickering. Other than that my wife loves how they look and perform. Thanks again!!
I can’t find a single video showing any replacement or modifications for 2023 jeep compass. None. Would love if you came out with one. I purchased new fog lights and bezels since mine doesn’t have them but gave no clue as to what I need to do to add them to a compass that has none.
I personally have not noticed any degradation of the battery… that being said I still notice they stay on (very dim lit) say if my wife gets home before me… Nothing has been affected so far but I will definitely be doing a follow up video soon, have definitely gotten a lot of interest… thanks for taking the time to comment!

I’m sure there are aftermarket housings available… I originally did the yellow LED bulbs in this video but had multiple issues with them. I ended up putting the Halogen bulbs back in and bought some yellow tint through ViVid… hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
Ah lame. Yours stay on dim as well. I was really hoping you had found some CANBUS Certified LED's. After about 6 months of using the fog lights and DRL LED's, I had to replace BOTH batteries in my Compass. You may have a stored CANBUS Check Engine light code as well. The reason why the fog lights stay on for 30 minutes after shutting the car off is because the entire CANBUS circuit remains open until it finally shuts off. I don't know much else from there, unfortunately. The search for actual CANBUS LED's continues!
You have LED lights? Mine did the same and eventually burnt out. Had them replaced under warranty but 6 months later just went back to the stock halogen with a yellow stick on tint to achieve the same look! Thanks for watching!!
@@cjmatthews6096 yes not sure on the longevity but that would make sense seeing mine only lasted 6-8 months before dying… also never noticed any battery drain as these are LEDs and don’t pull too much.

Thanks for the demo and time in making the video!

Yea LED lights. I checked on them an hour later and they were off. Don’t think it will kill battery but probably will cut life of the led.
