Me too! Knower forever is such an excellent record, all the tunes are great and it’s a treat to see tunes that we’ve already listened to over and over and over again as originally played.
there is *loads* of great music being made Right Now. The music mainstream is never going to give us what we want on a plate, as long as they are chasing hits. Screw them, and follow the artists you like directly. It is a golden age for music, for anyone who is ready to go looking.
Pop music was always mediocre at best, and always will be. It's not intended for people who have an interest in music. Occasionally something interesting breaks through and ends up being popular. When that happens a small number of pop listeners will get turned on to what music can be and it will change their lives forever. Watching that happen is a beautiful thing.
@@Pushing_Pixels There is nothing mediocre about George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, Burt Bacharach or Antonio Carlos Jobim (and of course there are other brilliant musicians and songwriters working in the pop idiom) ... but otherwise I agree

So many moments in this album and multiple even on this song make laugh out loud (like when Genevieve asks if hot girls like chords then that fat chord gets overdubbed and crescendos until they all hit that super clean release together). People keep trying to qualify this. There is no reason. It is creativity and audibly orgasmic sound! What do you mean by this? I recently discovered I have it also and this music lights my soul on fire!
@@jackmermigas9465 The content of the lyrics themselves are pretty much an anthem to ADHD in a sense lol. Verses are completely out of left field thoughts, and then the chorus says "that's what I'm thinking when you're talking"
Funny I never noticed this until I read these comments because my brain tunes out on lyrical meaning because I'm usually too lost in the music
@@meller7303the lyrics to me seem about the story teller being tired and bored with the person they're involved with and has checked out on the relationship completely. Not even remotely interested in any conversation about anything with them.
Relationships are a common theme in her writing. But songs are an open interpretation to the listener.
Bruv for real tho, I'm ADHD and this shit is just on repeat in my head, lyrics notwithstanding. Someone send help, it never stops lmao
Every memeber in the band in this video looks like they're somewere in the autism spectrum.
Yet another masterpiece by these phenomenal musicians.
Ever since I heard this song when I disassociate I hear it in my head and that is a large portion of my life. 10/10.
I WANT MORE ADAM RATNER EPIC SOLOS
I love that we're getting videos for the other tracks too now.
Ive been listening since it got released on bandcamp and was always trying to imagine what each performance looked like
Me too. I can’t wait to see the Nightmare session
Me too! Knower forever is such an excellent record, all the tunes are great and it’s a treat to see tunes that we’ve already listened to over and over and over again as originally played.
@@displaychicken I'm geeked to see Rai Thistlethwayte vs Chiquita Magic keyboard battle in It Will Get Real
@@Rbrgr83oh yeah that’s an awesome moment as well! So many great things on this album
Adam Ratner's solo just makes my day every time I see it.
I love the style.. no flash blinking lights, only tight spaces, only EXTREMELY GOOD MUSIC... I'm in awe!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Dude. How is it even possible to release only absolute bangers?!? This is so good.
I wish pop music sounded like this. We need a musical revolution.
This is the revolution 😂🎉😮
I'd prefer they stay on the niche side, I like being able to get cheap tickets to see them in small venues lol
there is *loads* of great music being made Right Now.
Clowncore without masks and auditive jump scares? I like it as well. Drummer's insane, I love every beat.
Was gonna say, heavy clown vibes from this one lol
@@ectobluntusi mean its LITERALLY clown core louis cole is the drummer for cc
Check out "it's nothing until it's everything" from the album; very Clowncore's Hell. Almost the exact same bass patch as well, haha @@ectobluntus
@@jwlsiee That's just a urban legend. PROVE IT!!!
@@jwlsiee Nah, the drummer from Clown Core is a clown, and Louis Cole is clearly not a clown. These rumors are unfounded.
Outstanding. I’d expect nothing less from KNOWER. 11/10 would listen to again.
This is one of the ILLEST tunes I've ever heard! 🔥🔥🔥I can't stop listening to it! Louis, Genevieve, and the gang put some serious STANK on it! It STINKS to high heaven! 😄😄😄It gets ya headbangin' and shakin' yo' bootay at the same time! 😄😄😄
Yes Genevieve- Knower is popular. Just looking at the vinyl pressing goals, and how they were exceeded by like 2000% (it was more) and the conversations that have started because I was wearing my Knower T Shirt, there has been a threshold crossed. This song is awesome. Can't wait until my record arrives, and I am so glad you guys got to actually make money off the album this time before the streaming release. This song is beautiful, and this record is packed with amazing music and really feels like a legitimate, all time masterpiece.
Wait ... physical album release? AGH... it's a freakin Kickstarter. >< Wwhhhhhyyyyyy.......
@@nickwallette6201 Still easy to order...
This song makes me want to shout 'Woooo' after each section, like when a surfer catches a good wave. Superb as always! Thank you!
When I first listened to this song and the guitar solo kicked in I was like, damn I knew Louis Cole had some contacts but I have no idea he got Allan Holdsworth to shred from beyond the grave. Awesome job Adam 🚒👩🚒
Also - much respect for Paul’s willingness to be a role player when needed.
Here I am thinking never will there be a better live song than OVERTIME, or TIME TRAVELLER, but here we are. It's hard to choose which one is the best thing ever to happen ever so I'll just cycle through them while I figure it out. You guys are so cool, once in a generation brilliance. In a world of manufactured crap you're a shining light of awesomeness. It's cliche but your music brings be great joy, and I'm a miserable old fart.
You're not miserable. Or old. However, you should fart. Above all, you are completely correct.
This is staged (using album track). But "Overtime" is definitely NOT the album version. Louis Cole is a freaking genius. Genevieve's voice is something special, I agree.
@@TheBulbaCzar I'm a little miserable, and a little old. But I become less of both listening to KNOWER. I'll fart forever, even when I'm dead!
i love this bassist guy and hope he get to spread his joy throughout.
Blown away by Paul Cornish’s performance on this one 🙌🙌🙌
Lol, face melting, especially the start.
Needs a lot of initial stretching 😄
I've had this on loop since I found it. Every listen brings a new new discovery and furthers my love for this band and Louis and Genevieve's will to keep dropping hot shit.
always blown away by the amount of skill everyone in this group has developed over the years, but that they also just know how to make beautiful music and it's not just showing off
I literally burst out laughing when Adam started that guitar solo at 2:30 - unbelievable!
Listening to these guys is akin to watching a magic trick.
same lol
it amazes me that knower songs give a vibe where coming in on an absurdly ripping solo is funny first and cool as hell second
For real, Louis Cole has perfected the art of like...virtuostic musical comedy. So many moments in this album and multiple even on this song make laugh out loud (like when Genevieve asks if hot girls like chords then that fat chord gets overdubbed and crescendos until they all hit that super clean release together). It's all so unserious and yet so serious at the same time.
it's tasty
After being trapped underground in the grip of the tightest funk, the solo catapults you into the sky to fly free as a bird
And as I listen and extol every virtue - the composition is incredible. The way the guitar and bass riffs cover the changes is amazing.
That f*ckin guitar solo. Good lord.
Hell yea, this chorus is astounding, that's the modal interchange magic right there
i have been waiting 4 months to play this non stop at my shitty café!!!! Finally i can make work bearable
thanks for an album of absolute bangers, y’all ❤
The next level of music. KNOWER. Fingering the pulse of the zeitgeist.
Need to say it again. Louis’s drumming on this is sick.
Another beautiful masterpiece of a song. I love it! Genevieve’s voice is angelic, I love how her voice melds with the instruments and soars. ❤️
People keep trying to qualify this. There is no reason. It is creativity and audibly orgasmic sound! It is the ridiculous, sublime, beautiful, nonsensical, rich, emotional, silly, deep, moving, and great musical rhythm packed in one piece lasting three minutes and 34 seconds. It leaves one thinking it should be longer, but good things never last and it is perhaps best that way. Lofi pop, prog rock, jazz rock, fusion, whatever be damned. It is just, purely, A DAMN GOOD SONG made by people enjoying life in a brief moment in time in an otherwise gloomy and evil world. This is yet again another PROOF of God's eternal love and beauty despite everything wrong in the world.
PS I love that keyboard sustain hanging in the song
Absolutely fucking amazing! Louis killing it, Sam is an absolute monster, and that guitar solo...!
How is each song they release always the best one?? Surely this cannot continue forever! But it just keeps happening!
They're like a post ironic Steely Dan with how they cycle musicians. 10/10.
It's very rare that I become completely addicted to an album, but this one done did it!
I constantly find myself quietly singing "I'm The President" to myself.
@@alden1132well it is the best groove you ever heard
Doesn't matter where or when - Sam's bass playing is always a show in and of itself.
In my head that's how good I am at bass
Genuine feckin goosebumps when the chorus hits
Give it a rest, simp.
Very talented group , bass player is amazing on this song
what a beautiful fusion of genres. i was sleeping on these artist now i cant stop listening to all their songs. Genevieve voice so hypnotic
Already listened to it death on Bandcamp, but making it available on streaming does make it easier to share! Favorite record of the year so far, and probably the best KNOWER album.
Louis's timing is unreal. He never misses a beat!
Coolest thing going right now...and I'm over 60.Geneve! Love this stuff!
