Not every second round is going to result in an Andrew Nembhard. We have to remember that and keep things in perspective. Furphy essentially replaces Doug and we have additional depth now waiting in the wings

And who do you think we should have picked - who also would be good enough in his third season to be a key contributor on a contending team? Because that is our trajectory and that is our timeline. Sorry, but our timeline and draft position says that ALL of these picks are for after that three year period. Two of these players they hope will be able to replace the players we have a good chance of losing: Nembhard & Turner. With Furby, he fits our scheme.
@@scottbolander8137 You are right that there wasn’t anyone available when we drafted to fix those areas. But we won’t do better without a stronger defensive presence and better rebounding. Likely only possible with a trade
I dont like what Im hearing honestly. Sounds like they are gonna just sit around and watch everyone improve and act like they arent a fringe top 10 team in the league right now. Not surprised, this is what they do once they make the playoffs. They never really take any chances. I dont hate the Furphy pick, but lets be real if Jarace couldnt get PT he has no shot either. Probably just a Kendall Brown replacement.
As a Indy native your definitely right. They never take any chances. Herb Simon is the cheapest NBA owner of all time. But wants a championship. Lol what a joke.
Like actually trying to win a championship? You know....the entire point of playing in the first place? Using some of our young talent to land a higher end talent? What is so complex about this idea? @@7mistahj
@@7mistahjim not gonna chill Ive watched them do this since the early 90s. They have 9 conference finals appearances and only 1 trip to the finals in that span.
Need to be conscious about getting a starting caliber SMALL FORWARD and an ACTUAL BACK UP CENTER now Aaron and Ben are to small! Their more shootint gaurd length!
oh wow, can we not?!? I'd rather have Fur-man the Vermin, and then in a few years when he gets more playing time and grows a ferocious beard , we can call him the WOLFMAN, AhWOOW! 🤣😂🤣
Yeah, we need another veteran potentially but in all honesty if Marin was healthy and Tyrese was healthy, we would’ve won against the Celtics growing pains from last year to come close in the Eastern conference finals and the NBA in-season tournament. I think this pacer teams headed in the right direction it’s no fluke we went to the finals of the season tournament and the Eastern conference finals.
Either way it goes we're F**k. We had a shot to the finals an we fumble that including picking up another vet like Bridges or OG. Hopefully we can still pick someone up that's near or is a superstar. Everyone in the east is stacking up. So Pacers ne Lucky enough to even make it to the playoffs. We need a big body that's dependable in the paint and rebounds smh
Furphy was projected to go 18th and pacers got him at 35

A+ draft
Calm down pal
Give the Pacers the championship already !
I could see Furphy stepping into Doug's role right away if he doesn't come back.

We could really use a bigger bodied defender underneath the basket and a strong rebounder. Can't see how we got better in those key areas.
Totally agree

Hmmm 🤔...
I think his name was Jarace Walker

Where is the draftees presser? It's been days, not very pacy
newton is a great pick
Why is Chad always doing this news conferences?? Where's pritchard? He's the one making the decisions
Isn’t Chad GM?
The draft is where Buchanan gets to shine

if course is johny goes to pacers he might be able to be saved.
