We were one of the first families to move onto the estate when it was new, we came from a flat on Studley Estate, Stockwell. Central heating, fitted kitchen, massive balcony and going upstairs to bed....all brand spanking new...
Go to church street market (NW8) on a saturday, lisson green estate and hall tower side by edgware road, getting renovated next year so will be a good video
Beautiful place, architecturally speaking. Modernist architecture. Love em. Two things wrong with it only; way too many flats within one estate and poor management by the council.
i did a disso at uni on estates because I studied architecture. What happens is alot of the architects don't actually think about the longevity of them. You should see the original concept for broadwater farm, it makes it look better than any street of semi detached houses. Issue is they don't think about how to make it last, they just built it and thats that
2 questions. What’s the worst estate you would say personally you have visited and what’s the worst town in general in your opinion? Keep up the content g
Probably Birmingham, Newtown, because it was out of my comfort zone. But as for London, everywhere is calm during the day to be fair, if your minding your own business. At night it's a different story
@@TeaAndCrumpets so you don't think there's a most dangerous estate and town in London? And ye I heard about Newtown pretty deprived area I think had the whole johnson burger bar beef as well

I think Lambeth is still adamant on demolishing the estate. But there are campaigners wanting to get the estate listed and preserved.
They should deffo preserve it!

@@TeaAndCrumpets thank you very much
I thought it looked nice, it's nicer than where I live and I'm supposed to live in an alright area
I bet this estate was lovely when first built. Unfortunately due to the lack of government spending they just go downhill 😢
