Mention for Marionette Purple I because i love jazz. - Conciliation, Es theme. Fav fighting game character ever. - Queen of rose, Rachel's theme. Iconic because 1st game's best character, the one i played (poorly) at first. - 烈風, Bang's theme. Epic and giving so much energy. - Altar, main menu. I love ambient musics. There was a Twitch's channel at some point with open lobby 24/7, and we would hear this song for hours sometimes until people start to join and play. - Stardust memory, BB CT Game Over music. 1. Under Heavean Destruction 1 - It's the track that immediately comes to mind when I think of BlazBlue in general. Shoutouts to the LA Vocal version too! 2. Black & White - Hands down favorite rival theme in the whole series (tied with UHD tbh)! 3. Condemnation Wings 2 - Another quintessential BB theme, but I just love the raw speed of this version has over the original even if they're equally great! 4. in the shadows - I love the chill vibe this song has with the use of keyboards and its bassline is insane! 5. I never hear anybody talking about that song when they talk about blazblue's soundtrack, and I know more people prefer 2 but it's a shame that they removed the build up to the much slower but heavier main riff of the song, it just had so much more weight in 1.

My picks: Rebellion 1 Motor Head 1 Thin Red Line 1 Reppū 1 The Tyrant Spirit of Fire Tomorrow it could be different, because that's how music is for me, one day you feel more appreciative of some, another day of others. Also Central Fiction character select song is one of my fav on the genre.

Nightmare fiction II - when the violin harmonizes with the guitar during the solo it gets me every time.👌🏾 Crystal forest - love how bittersweet yet powerful it is. Blood pain - either version but leaning towards II. Chorus for both are incredible but that keyboard solo on II is what does it for me. Could’ve had like 25 songs on here. I've been repping the BlazBlue soundtrack since Calamity Trigger came out in 09, it's definitely hard to pick 6 songs especially when some if not most 2nd versions bang as hard as the original themes. However here are my 6. Awakening the Chaos(Nu) - The build up, the vocals, the baseline, the drums, can't say enough about this track. Bullet Dance II(Noel) - The opening of the track is stellar, like a pre-match prayer. Gale(Bang) - You put it perfectly in that you feel like a hero with this in the background. In The Shadows(Hibiki) - Although most people wouldn't make it to the breakdown in match, the piano. Black & White(Ragna Vs Hakumen) - as far as rivals go, this track can described in a short phrase "not you again" Weak Executioner II(Litchi vs Arakune) - Thematically this track goes above and beyond those involved. Appreciate you Obama, more people should listen and play BlazBlue.

Not ordered: Sword of Doom II - Same reasons as yours. The singer just pops off and it's beautiful. In The Shadows - I love how groovy it is. Especially at the end the song just flies. There's so many instruments and the mixing is perfect, so the sound is incredibly layered. God, the descent 3 minutes into the song is so perfect too. You can just listen to it over and over again. This list isn't ordered, but this is probably my favorite. All this for the AOT ripoff character's theme lmao. Stand Unrivaled - I mean, come on. Of course! Weak Executioner II - I love that it's more mellow (despite the blaring electric guitars). Doesn't really reach any peaks. Feels really melancholic, which is fitting for the story surrounding it. It's easy to just exhale and relax while listening to it. Go-to training mode theme Alexandrite II - This is on here solely for the legendary intro. The rest of the song just sounds like deflating balloons. The intro really is just that good. The Tyrant - My friends and I did a Pokemon Soul SIlver Nuzlocke a few years back where we passed the controller around. It was randomized, and we were naming all the Pokemon after fighting game characters. We were having lots of disagreements about what to name each Pokemon, but when we stumbled across a Larvitar in Slowpoke Well, we all collectively just went "AZRAEL!" The whole playthrough was built around protecting him until he became a Tyranitar. He absolutely carried through the league and the entirety of the postgame. We modded Red's team to be WAY harder, and we put on The Tyrant when we fought him, and both teams got completely wiped out except for Azrael the Tyranitar. He was the last one standing. It was the hypest shit ever, and one of my fondest memories with my friends. So this song gets a sentimental placement, even if I don't like listening to it as much as the others on this list.

I’ve got a few of the Blazblue songs in my workout playlist, they’re excellent fighting game songs; SF6 could never. The BBCF remixes of character themes often have less instrument variety, they sound like Hyrule Warriors remixes; it works better in some songs but I prefer the synth in a lot of the base themes. 1. Alexandrite II This starts off like the Mario 64 Pirahna Plant theme then becomes a great Castlevania song. 2. STAND UNRIVALED Straight up a guilty gear song. 3. Spirit of Fire The chords really nail the underdog vibe this song represents. 4. Science Fiction The slow burn really hits. 5. Rebellion II Got the biggest glow up in BBCF. 6. Conciliation This is the best fighting game song in the game, climatic as hell.

Been pretty nostalgic about Blazblue myself lately, and man, we really do take for granted just how amazing the soundtrack is to this game cuz it really does feel to me like some of Arcsys' best work in music. The music is definitely one of the reason why BB is peak! I stand by BBCF should be considered one of the greatest fighting games of all time. It's the perfect package.
On the thing you said before the list: If someone asks you for Top X songs, and you get that little bummed out feeling of going "I gotta pick only X? fuuuuuck man that's rough", that's when you know the shit is GOOD. - MOTOR HEAD. The bass is just so heavy and earth-shaking, it fits Tager perfectly and it's smooth as all hell.
- MUST DIE. Pretty common pick but I can't argue against it. It not only goes hard as hell and really gets you into that aggressive mindset but it's the theme of one of my mains.
- Thin RED Line II. My other main's theme song, it is soooo heavy and fast and chaotic. Suuuper wonderful, can't not love it.
- STAND UNRIVALED. You mentioned my exact thoughts on why this song rocks. No more needs to be said.
- Catus Carnival II. I mean this is everyone's favourite. Taokaka on TOP.
- Gluttony Fang. The piano is so good that not putting this song on the list would count as a sort of crime.

I never hear anybody talking about that song when they talk about blazblue's soundtrack, and I know more people prefer 2 but it's a shame that they removed the build up to the much slower but heavier main riff of the song, it just had so much more weight in 1.
I love both versions of it so much, but the original was one of the only ones I was willing to destroy my eardrums for lmao

Gluttony Fang 2: I listen to the full version with the piano intro. A lot of variety allows for repeat listens.
Reincarnation: Very ominous. It's very satisfying to listen to.
Hakaishin: A long but very meaty experience. A full adventure.

Nightmare fiction II - when the violin harmonizes with the guitar during the solo it gets me every time.👌🏾
Crystal forest - love how bittersweet yet powerful it is.
Blood pain - either version but leaning towards II. Chorus for both are incredible but that keyboard solo on II is what does it for me.

I've been repping the BlazBlue soundtrack since Calamity Trigger came out in 09, it's definitely hard to pick 6 songs especially when some if not most 2nd versions bang as hard as the original themes. However here are my 6.
Awakening the Chaos(Nu) - The build up, the vocals, the baseline, the drums, can't say enough about this track.
Bullet Dance II(Noel) - The opening of the track is stellar, like a pre-match prayer.
Gale(Bang) - You put it perfectly in that you feel like a hero with this in the background.
In The Shadows(Hibiki) - Although most people wouldn't make it to the breakdown in match, the piano.
Black & White(Ragna Vs Hakumen) - as far as rivals go, this track can described in a short phrase "not you again"
Weak Executioner II(Litchi vs Arakune) - Thematically this track goes above and beyond those involved.
Appreciate you Obama, more people should listen and play BlazBlue.

Sword of Doom II - Same reasons as yours. The singer just pops off and it's beautiful.
In The Shadows - I love how groovy it is. Especially at the end the song just flies. There's so many instruments and the mixing is perfect, so the sound is incredibly layered. God, the descent 3 minutes into the song is so perfect too. You can just listen to it over and over again. This list isn't ordered, but this is probably my favorite. All this for the AOT ripoff character's theme lmao.
Stand Unrivaled - I mean, come on. Of course!
Weak Executioner II - I love that it's more mellow (despite the blaring electric guitars). Doesn't really reach any peaks. Feels really melancholic, which is fitting for the story surrounding it. It's easy to just exhale and relax while listening to it. Go-to training mode theme
Alexandrite II - This is on here solely for the legendary intro. The rest of the song just sounds like deflating balloons. The intro really is just that good.
The Tyrant - My friends and I did a Pokemon Soul SIlver Nuzlocke a few years back where we passed the controller around. It was randomized, and we were naming all the Pokemon after fighting game characters. We were having lots of disagreements about what to name each Pokemon, but when we stumbled across a Larvitar in Slowpoke Well, we all collectively just went "AZRAEL!" The whole playthrough was built around protecting him until he became a Tyranitar. He absolutely carried through the league and the entirety of the postgame. We modded Red's team to be WAY harder, and we put on The Tyrant when we fought him, and both teams got completely wiped out except for Azrael the Tyranitar. He was the last one standing. It was the hypest shit ever, and one of my fondest memories with my friends. So this song gets a sentimental placement, even if I don't like listening to it as much as the others on this list.
Hell yeah, 100% agree. The original Condemnation Wings hard carried me through college lol. Easily my number 1.

I’ve got a few of the Blazblue songs in my workout playlist, they’re excellent fighting game songs; SF6 could never. The BBCF remixes of character themes often have less instrument variety, they sound like Hyrule Warriors remixes; it works better in some songs but I prefer the synth in a lot of the base themes.

The music is definitely one of the reason why BB is peak! I stand by BBCF should be considered one of the greatest fighting games of all time. It's the perfect package.

If someone asks you for Top X songs, and you get that little bummed out feeling of going "I gotta pick only X? fuuuuuck man that's rough", that's when you know the shit is GOOD. The higher the number goes and you keep that feeling, the better the whole package is.
