@@Atlas_Fortis there are actually. As the other poster says, pilots awaiting command or who’ve been away fro aircraft may be given the opportunity to observe. Also pilots have to line checked and audited by pilots on the 3rd seat.
when you take it off auto pilot .auto throttle is still in authority so what are you doing manual at that late point just keeping the desent going or what eles pleas sir
It is true that when you turn off the AP, the autothrottle is still on in any phase of the flight in both Normal and Alternate Law. So with your question, i think you are asking about the landing phase as you speak of the late point. Well the manual thing you are doing is the lateral (sideways) and the vertical movement of the aircraft to be on the glide slope and also not to deviate from the rwy track. I hope i was able to answer your question.
@@MRarchitectR In the Airbus it's called "Authothrust", since the throttles (thrust levers) do not move when AT is engaged. Myself, and most pilots I fly with usually land with AT and AP off, manually controlling it like a conventional aircraft. Sometimes we'll leave the AT on if conditions warrant.
@@THYB737 It's dusk. It's the same reason why the runway is illuminated. Wintertime visibility is uncooperative and so airfields illuminate earlier in the day and thus so do flight decks.
While the A320 is capable of a CATIII approach, the autopilot is not engaged in this video. You can see on the glareshield that only the auto-thrust is on.
EasyJet really has no problems letting people film in the cockpit. That is sooooo amazing!
uhm actually there is usually another pilot waiting to take command in the jump seat. The Passengers are NOT allowed in the cockpit.
@@whiterabbit3359 letting passengers in the cockpit is a huge security risk because of hijackings

EasyJet most probably.
@Javiator Sure is.
Amazing ! Thanks for not zooming!
Proud to be a student pilot!
Good luck bro

cant wait to go somewhere
I love the Insults right before landing
Amazing
That’s a crazy fps can’t lie
Bravo Captain.. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
F/O flying
I thing the F/O was flying. The cam was on him, most of the time, and he commanded spoilers

BEAUTIFUL :DDD
Can we see the localizer, glide slope used in ILS before the runway?
👍👍👍👍😉😉😉😉

Good, unembellished video. Crosswind negligible.
Hard😢
Dafuq why does it look like simulator?
I mean, the video _is_ 4 years ago, so the camera was worse.
@@isac.2h yes but the interior is normally always brightened during daylight, whereas in the simulators it's always dark, as in the video.

To be fair the touchdown sounds just like the ones in the flybywire a32nx lol
It's an ILS approach, this airbus lands automatically, pilots here don't do nothing while the aircraft lands

What i said is the autoland that is activated, you can see the message land in the pfd
@@josephdepont434 Both autopilots must be engaged for an auto-land. This would be indicated by a green box around the "LAND" message in the PFD.
