Amazing very brave,,
Becarefully in job my freand
Succes to you👌👍
me too
Great job!!! Echos have always been my saw of choice. Knowing the work involved in that tree all I can say is you're in super shape:)
Big Cedar tree, respect guys im a treeworker in the Netherlands, but we dont have pines like these, Nice job
Nice editing and you make hard work look easy.
Wow ... nice work! You know it's a serious twig when you break out the 880 whilst you're still on a line...
I dread to think how much raw material you had to wade through to put that together! Thanks for taking the time it was well worth it.
Subbed!
Thanks a lot mate! yeah was the first time with the 880 on the line, not easy swinging around with that weight hanging off you. Youve got it, was only 50GB worth of footage! hahaha
Only 50?!? Bloody hell hats off to you fella!
I don't own an 880 but I have used one several times and I tell your for free, I wouldn't want to hang out of a tree, then haul it up, then cut, then hang it off my waist, rinse, repeat... I hope you found a damn good pub afterwards to pass out in! 😂

Wow! My best friend, Nice one video. Love for you also best wishes to you, Carry on dear.
Bravo to this very Brave & Skilled man. It's people like him who risk their lives that deserve the Oscars and Emmys. You'd think with all the GMO scientists out there, that they would steer their focus on creating more dwarf trees in most of the popular species!
That's difficult work.Good job.
My father knew a guy that had a tree removal business. He was doing well for himself. Then he met him again 2 years later
Dad asked how he was doing. He said not well.Dad asked why.He said "Its a combination of three things.Booze ,mismanagement and dishonest help.Things to remember when you're running a business.
Thanks mate! Good advice, I am very cautious with business partnerships. The tree game can be hard, being organized and communication between clients and contractors is important. It is getting hard to find good help and that's why being a climbing contractor working between several companies works out well for me aswel as the company I'm helping.
@@NZarboristBryce Good job.Takes balls of steel to hang like that all day and not take a piss for most of the day.Cheers mate.
I had an awesome friend who worked for Northpower in Whangarei for 20+ years. One day he phoned asking if I wanted some 'old man' pine for firewood. I said yes and there was 5 truck loads of big rings on my driveway the next day! Split it all and sold it. Miss you heaps Aster Failano.
Man, you're one of the most brave heart that I ever seen in my life.
Best wishes from IRAQ.

I'm so proud of you mr. Big bad lumberjack you can operator chain saw and cut down an old beautiful tree I'm so proud of you
Wow...I never would have thought it's interesting watching this
amazing way of cutting wood above height

Now that was an intricate tree. What a job.
Ruthless Goat 77
You should look at the deodars in Indian state of himachal fuckin humongous its like swiss spruce but way too tall and strong.
What an incredibly confusing tree to watch, I am sure it looked different to you. But looking through your camera I couldnt tell what was what. Great job doing it safely and thanks for sharing. Glad you are doing the job cause I wouldnt want anyone to ask me to do it.
For a professional that was a rather simple job. A lot of work, but simple.
Top Job Kiwi!
Would have been a great tree to get a bunch of time lapse footage from the ground.
Nice job!! I was part of a team that moved an 80 ft. spruce for the cities Christmas tree. It was a ton of work, but it was cool being a part of it.
Stihl makes a small 200 top handle you would love. It comes with a 12 in bar but we are running 14 and 16 in on them and they do great. We have 3 of them and love em. Great climbing and cutting technique there fella ! That was one knarly tree.2 days of that and your legs were probably telling you all about it eh, LOL. We got a couple steel lined Kevlar ropes too that are amazingly light and flexible and will stop a chain in the track. Just a little extra feel good while you are up there. I am retired now as my knees gave up so this was a great trip to the past. I am from BC Canada and did my share of helicopter work on 300 ft west coast wood crabbing from stem to stem. I really like your style. All I do now is some safety and dream of the old days. Thanks again bud. New sub for ya too.
Thank you for the comment! I run a stihl ms201t now, I got it not long after this job but I did like the echo saw for the price. It did me well! I am planing to move to BC next year for some contract climbing and Id love to work with a log building company to gain the skills to build my dream log home back here in New Zealand one day. Your trees and logs in Canada are amazing. I was in the rocky mountains snowboarding earlier this year for 4 weeks, drove from Calgary to Edmonton, where I visited my aunty and uncle. Then to lake Louise, Banff, Golden, Revelstoke, Whistler and finishing in Vancouver to fly home. I fell in love with the country, scenery and the people! I cant wait to be back.
Holly shit! A fellow echo user.... good work buddy! Subed up.
Yeah, but you notice when it was time to do the real cutting he said, "Give me the 880"! I don't envy having to lug around a 25lb monster up a huge cedar, but what a beast!
Victorious victor I agree Victor. I have all Echo saws including a 620PW which is a beast. Stihl is overpriced in my book.
pěkná práce
škoda, že zde nejsou i celkové záběry zespodu zdálky, aby bylo vidět jak ten strom postupně ubývá
Nice video...👍👍
Safety first..👍
It is so impressive to watch a pro at work. I guess you really have to work your way up.
Was tge tree used for anything or was it trashed , gorgeous tree just beautiful.
Yes, the next video is of me milling large slabs. One was donated to the town hall ua-cam.com/video/PPKxtKxlkyY/v-deo.html
When can we see more work from you guys? My fav lunch time watch at work.
an 880 up in the tree??? you're brave. i've lugged a 661 on some climbs ((( . thanks for the vid, excellently executed job.
Para mi estos son los verdaderos Campeones ☝️👍!!!!
which is the best way to do this start at the bottom and work your way or go to the top and work your way down. thanks for an outstanding video. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA)
Legend has it they are still cleaning up from this job!
Nice job guys
wow,,,,lotttsa hard work,,,,,skill,,,,craftsmanship,,,what a great movie,,,,i wouldnt, and couldnt,,, you earn every dollar!!!
That was a big one for sure with lots of limbs. I. Surprised there was little to no rigging just straight dropping. Keep up the good work. 💪💪
Brendon
The tree was a mess, ready to go.
Top effort, professionally done.
@Silas Wild humans are cancer. they can't live and let live.
Hello from Dawsonville Georgia USA that was a big tree great job.
Impressive to watch someone who can work heights. Me, they'd never be able to pry my hands loose clutching the bottom of the tree.
My legs and toenails would be digging in, too.
God bless the brave ax man. I myself is scared of standing on a six foot ladder. He’s good. Fascinating. Require patience and know how. Safety the most important.
To process a large tree requires a skilled technician who is equipped with safety equipment while working. Seeing how he works, I can see the professionalism required for the job.
I thought this video was Canadian at first...then I heard someone shout "Time for fush n chups bro!"
What
Haha
Nice job, actually looked like a fun climb. Not much roping, lots of free fallin limbs.
And this tree is getting cut down for what reason? Looks perfectly healthy.
Because the customer wants it done. . Don't turn down jobs because of right or wrong
@@luggerjake8597 I have done that before. Some people have nutball ideas in their heads.
I had two huge teak trees in my plot which had to be cut. The guy used an elephant to carry the trunk away (no pun)
Awesome! Which country are you in?
@@NZarboristBryce I'm guessing southern or central India they have elephants there as pets for some reason.
Cambridge is one of the lovelier towns in NZ . i haven't been there for almost 50 years but still have nice memories of being there on cool winter mornings .I have probably seen that tree in it's younger days. I think if it were near my home I'd want it dropped or trimmed .
nice work man !!
It's such a shame that the plot owner wanted to cut down this magnificent tree. Anyway, from what I've read in the comments, the wood came to good use.
Can you imagine the homeowner that would say, "Look at what you've done to my lawn!"
It's being developed and landscaped. But it would make more sense to fill some holes and re grass than it would be to rig every piece down.. even if it wasnt to be developed. You could almost add a whole nother day if we were trying to look after the lawn. At a cost of almost $2000/day. Hope that changed your mind.
Oh no, I was being sarcastic. If a homeowner wanted a tree removed, but had more interest in his grass, then his priorities are mixed up or either he is stupid. I did this the pieces you rigged down was cool to see in operation. I'm in agreement, it's easier to fix the lawn than to deal with the tree.
@@hughbo52 Oh yeah I see! lol. But it does happen all the time! Not happy when they see a dent in their lawn 😂
What are you climbing on I couldn’t quite see it in the video. A friction hitch with a micro pulley? What’s tending your slack??
Some serious work after this storm, but with the sun light will have a better grass, two of those were cut on my property 👍
Do you ever get to keep some bigger good parts and sell them to carpenter guy who can make stuff on turning lathes or various benches from slabs as thick as a few feet diametre
That was so fun and satisfying to watch hahaha
Landscaping Employee Trap & Window Cleaning Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it. It took awhile to edit.
How many branches did this tree have? has anyone counted this?
impressive work!
have you ever had branches "sail" further than you thought they would? it's seems with full needles or leaves, they would go sideways like a parachute, instead of just down.
They are pretty heavy and gravity sure does its thing
@@NZarboristBryce I heard this recently from a guy who works those ridiculously tall high-rise cranes. He said heights don't bother him, but he has the highest respect for gravity. I assume the same for you guys.
How tall was this huge beautiful tree and about how old would you say it was. Great job cutting .
Hi, around 20m or 60-70 ft. I think it was around 60 years old, trees grow much quicker here in new Zealand. Thanks
great job, efficient ground crew too...
So much detail down twigs and the thick trunks of the end do not appear ... you ran out of memory of the camera?
I feel like I'm falling everytime I see a limb going down.... it's strange, when I was a child growing up I was never afraid of heights but now that I'm old I'm terrified of them, even if it's just on TV LOL
what is the consensus on the new echo trim saw vrs stihl? personally I think they are comparable on performance with the exception of the echo's chain tension not staying tight. with that being said if echo fixes that then Stihl maybe in trouble considering the huge savings echo offers.
good job, keep it up.
Look at that beautiful tree being cut down.. I'm sure it's older than any of us.. Cut down because it's inconvenient for some, and money for others.. Does it make anyone else sad to watch it cut down ?
Around 50 years old, they do grow relatively quick here. I milled the trunk log into large slabs and donated one to the town hall for an outdoor table. You can see the video of me milling it on my channel. Thanks
2 day workout tree, lets you know where all your muscle groups are in your body after a climb through this tangled mess, good work Bryce, lucky you didn't have to rig much making it easier to get finished.
Tremendous job!
Looks like it was mild weather..... careful trying to hold up that 880 when you are in heat exhaustion territory. 🤕
Nice edit
try to cut a small wedge out of the pice of wood, you want to push over, in the direction you want it to fall. Not like a face cut just an inch it will tip over way easier. Especially the big chunks.
Apoligies for my bad englisch and greetings from germany
+forester Yes very good, I agree. I do on big section fells, but sometimes that extra cut is extra time we dont have hahaha cheers mate
Que tiempo les tomo esa hazaña?
I'm sorry man !But put dislike !I do not advocate such a swath of trees!Healthy trees that do not interfere with anyone! And so greenery in the cities is not enough!Greetings from Russia!
I was just doing a job for a client.. they wanted to building a house where it stood. If I didnt do it the next guy wouldve. I milled the timber and one of the large slabs went to the town hall for a table.
Roger that! I Like It!I apologize for the hasty conclusion!
Ok!)))
When taking down trees, do you ever have to worry about weight distribution and the balance of the tree?
20 minutes of work and the film is cut just before the job is completed. Crazy.
A part of my soul died watching this beautiful tree being cut down.
For safety it’s necessary at times
Maravilhoso trabalho e segurança na equipe toda .Ok do Brasil.

Anyone know why the owner had it taken down ?
to bad the owner didn't have you cut it into longer sections for lumber .

Hi Echo. Good to connect with you. I see you're a tree surgeon. I was
one also. I am interested in what you do. I have a few small questions
regarding tree surgeons and their struggles. I was wondering as a tree
surgeon do you struggle with back pain?
@Michael Fresh I help tree surgeons and trades men reduce back pain.
Tinggi banget sama kaya pohon di Indonesia, beda nya kami jalanan nya ramai , jadi agak sulit dan terkendala kendaraan yang lewat
Damn good job man!
Thanks mate
There is a lot of tree in that job,, great cleanup crew
Huevos grande my friend.
Not a tree guy but have a big question. Why do they let some branches just fall on their own and other ones are tied and lowered. The size of the branch doesn't seem to matter and neither does whats below. Can't figure this out.
Hi Dan, It mostly depends on the weight and the footpath beneath. The long branches with foliage, have zero chance of cracking the concrete, where as the heavy chunks will. Let me know where in the video you're confused about the branches I did rope and lower. Cheers Bryce
Brice: Thanks for your reply. You know I didn't consider the weight of the drop. But now that you told me it makes perfect sense.
For some weird reason I watch an awful lot of tree felling and chain saw videos. Never used a chain saw and never will but I do know for a fact that it is rated as the most dangerous job of all.
Something very fascinating about cutting trees. An expert can "guess" where a tree or branch is going to go once cut but wood has a life of its own and is always unpredictable. Especially dead wood.
Nice job man ... but try not to leave That much stubs on limbs.
Just watching you and looking over the diameter of the chunks you cutting off they could be cut into slab planks and made into bench tables at 5+ feet long.
Would love to get hold of one of those 3 foot section the Millers call a crotch a Y shape that could be made into breakfast tables in epoxy resin
Good call man. I watch these Canadian guys cut down huge redwoods and throw them straight into a chipper, such a waste.
Great skills to be working with little margin for error. Some of the upper branches went down real close to the house
It's a shame, that it is allowed to cut down such a old and beautiful tree.
Yes, developers again. I if didn't, someone else would've done it.
naivity is a gift, isn´t it ?
and as so often when its about "omg teh tree" : its a germany.
hallo mein freund und grünen-wähler, ich verachte leute wie dich !
@@maxx8011 ich bin AFD Wähler und dennoch sage ich, dass es eine Schande ist diesen alten, schönen und völlig gesunden Baum zu zerstören.
That tree was a beast!
Dude use that mini to pull some big chunks! Snap cutting those big chunks had to have made ya sore as hell
Hey mate. Yea I wish I could have, there were old water pipes running diagonally across the yard from the footpath to the middle of the house. they were only less then 1ft deep and about 3m from the base. Always something
haha tell me about it. i was dropping some big oak chunks and go figure i take out the one cable tv wire buried in the whole area. like you said always something. i blame the cable company for only burying it 5 inches lol ;)
true cedars ,deadora, atlas and cedar of Lebanon.the wood is more like that of a fir tree big and heavy
I wonder what they do with the wood?

That is some beautiful wood. Thanks for sharing your cut job.
the client clearly dosent know what he is doing, you should stoped him
Mauricio Salinas how do you say “I don’t want you to build on your property because I like your tree?” And have the property owner be ok with that? I doubt it will happen.
Cedars can be very brittle in dry windy times and almost split in thirds
I noticed the road was wet. Was it raining while you cut all those crooked limbs, lots of crooked limbs? Do you used two kinds of saws by choice or that's what you had? Thanks
Excellent video
The falling branches can break the sidewalk. Why don't they use rope to lower them?
was there a good reason for this?
How long did you study that tree before you started climbing it? That was knarley! Awesomeness job!
catbirdfeeder Ussually just a quick check to make sure its safe to climb, not too much planning apart from what side to start on. I like to get up there and just start cutting branches from the bottom up, it all flows from there
You is one hell of a feller...Really enjoyed your skill..and I guess taking down a huge tree in a busy area is crucial for safety and some. Best crew too.. Thanks..
How did it end?
How do you like this Echo compared to stihl or husky?
Playa from the Himalaya ... STIHL Baby with an Oregon bar. That's right... Hell of a good methodical job.
I've dropped such big heads..that when they landed and stuck in the ground.. I had to climb them again to top them out again!!! So my previous boss told me. Pure Ballox😂

What’s a job like this cost? I’m guessing $3000
Did you know deodars in himachal can be as tall as 60 m/ 197 feet?
Never seen a Cedar like that before ;) lol Looks more like a Grande Fir or Hemlock , ,,Does it smell like red or yellow cedar at all i wonder ?
The Indian cedar/ cedrus deodara is close to pine+spruce looking and quite different from other cedars AND it smells absolutely beautiful like perfume especially the oil on seeds.
