  • The Polaris Axys and Matryx are notorious for having problems with the throttle safety switch. Usually caused by ice build up in cold weather, deep snow riding. This can really ruin a very good ride day. The best way to remedy the problem is to replace the factory plastic throttle block with an aftermarket block. Follow along as we talk about the ice up problem, replacement options and how to replace the factory throttle block.

Good vid! I have heard cutting the thumb throttle warmer helps alleviate the freezing, I thankfully haven’t experienced this issue yet tho. I’m thinking maybe my flapper heater doesn’t work haha

After roll overs take a few moments to clear out throttle & block - ususally use the key to scrape away any snow that freezes to the block …

One problem that happened today on another sled. 2020 850 pro. The mount was loose, we tightened the lower bolt but was throttling really high and mount still loose. Would this fixit

If you’re asking if an aftermarket throttle block would fix it. Without out actually seeing your sled and problem, can’t say 100% for sure, but it most likely would fix it. There’s so much snow and ice build up in the factory Polaris block, csn mess with your idle and TSS.

Too many little things need attention to ride in the conditions they were designed for, for sure.
