I couldn't stand Pat McAfee when I first watched him. His show was on in the cigar lounge I go to during lunch, so I had to watch him regardless of how I felt. Over time I truly came to like his show. It just took a little while to get past the sort of pompous arrogant way Pat presents himself. I can't think of anything else on ESPN that I watch with any regularity.
It's funny how all these guys say they don't watch his show because it's on at the same time as there show.. lol. I only watch on UA-cam and can be anytime you want

100% agree. I love Dan but I was disappointed in his business advice, encouraging Pat to just get along with the devil. Pat was the head of the independent “F you” movement and why we love him. Sports entertainment business has changed, and Pat’s a huge reason why. Don’t gotta play by the rules of yesterday, and he shouldn’t! Pat’s much more than money grabber.
I was definitely one of the guys calling Pat a sellout when he went to espn but now I’m thinking it was more of a strategic move by Pat to use espn at another stepping stone.
He said it was because he was having his first kid (and people notoriously over think everything on their first) and wanted a consistent paycheck and consistent hours (he’s been an obsessive workaholic). Can’t wait for him to break free and be his full authentic self, though.
