Snow...so beautiful. It never snows down here in Louisiana. We get a few sprinkles every few years that melts by noon but it's so exciting when it does snow! We take pictures, build little snowmen, drive around...they usually close the schools down cause too many wrecks as people don't know how to drive in it...🤤thanks Cap'n...❄☃️🌨💕
This feels like I'm back in time in this place. The view from the highest point was magnificent. I don't know why I got teary eyed. Very moving. Thanks captian. ❤️
Late answer but usually chimney smoke isn't that easy to see if the wood is dry and the fire has been going for a while. And with these cloudy skies and blurry film I doubt it's easy to spot it. Another factor is that most houses in Sweden and Uppsala had "Swedish stoves" Kakelugnar in Swedish -ceramic stove or tile stoves is apparently other English words. Which usually was only used in the morning and kept warm many hours after.
@@hnorrstrom It's not just in Sweden...i had this ceramic stove at my house not too long ago (certainly remember smoke in a winter time)...and many more people i know....that wouldn't explain the fact that it's not a single chimney...there certainly would be at least one or few smoking...
For some reason, when I watch these old movies, I feel like I'm watching the world I've lived in. Everything looks so cozy and homey.
Looks cold cheers mate thanks for watching have a good day
You may have (lived in it) ; )
Will repeat it one more time, the horsecarts people didn´t build anything around them! Amazing as usual Captain!

Ty for reminding us that the narrative has been altered, the world was a calmer time :)

@@helenabasta8094 Well it is kind of strange that it is no smoke visible somewhere.
That was just my guesses.
They are great stoves for sure.
I'll take a horn-o-plenty drink like they drank at the end of the footage.🍺
maybe winter wasn't a normal thing before 1850?
The farmers almanac should say the weather they experienced
@@captainkirk1 the earliest farmers almanac is from 1853
