I mean it would be understandable: it is fast, packed with humanoids with rough gold and cloth, the quests are right there near the entrance and the dungeon is inside your capital city!
Not only are you doing the most monotonous dungeon in classic, you're also leveling a warrior under level thirty. What can I say, it's tough out there.
I think this is happening to you because of the type of consumer you are, your generation grew up with more ephemeral content available, and it seems you don't enjoy something if you're not instantly gratified with a piece of gear or some kind of prize for the minimal effort. Older guys like us were amazed back in the day with the sole idea of being able to play with other people in real time and being able to explore a vast world, we were also still hyped with the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy and WoW was the perfect opportunity to get into that world.
Vanilla quest design isn't the best but it encouraged zone hopping and changin. Ironically restedxp actually makes it come together because it has you going from zone to zone doing quests instead of a linear path. The game just doesn't guide the player well on where to go
Stockades have more lore in retail than in Classic? oh sure. Reading quests is useful. But, whatever. Stockades is just filler. Like RFC. Nothing changed since classic.
You missed out in a big way when you skipped SFK. I know it's about out of the way and you're kinda out leveling it but still worth a spin if you missed it. Besides it's just 1 zone over from SM and that place you absolutely want to visit alot throughout the next 15-20 levels.
Personally, I think the leveling experience, the world, the pacing, etc. is MUCH better in Vanilla. With that said, for me the Wrath, Cata, and MoP eras had the best rotations and class design, and starting with Cata we had really good dungeons and raiding with actual boss mechanics. The perfect version of WoW to me would be pulling the best from those versions.
worst part of classic wow is the level 60 experience nothing but elitist comp groups with everything of value hard reserved while bots inflate the economy to the moon and force legit players to farm gold like a full time job
You should do a video about your addons, mate, your UI is so tidy and appropriate it could be official. Except the minimap, but nobody's perfect, lol. For that there's the Minimap Button Button, if you're interested.
classic wow hc is great for me, started wow first time last year with hc and tried retail this year. Went straight back to classic hc when anniversary servers went live
@@iDuckie_ WoW Classic is a game. Is it a good game? Sure. Is it perfect? No. Its a great game for playing slow and experiencing for the first time. It was fun doing the raids and all the dungeons for the first time since I never played it when it was live. Doing it multiple times, with every class? I'll pass. Unironically the leveling is my least favorite part just due to time investment. After the first time, it's just a tedious time sink to experience new classes. Still enjoyable to play casually or mess around in pvp every once in a while. it's not a game for everyone, but it can be enjoyable for most the first time through if you treat it kinda like a single player rpg.
stormwind stockades is one of your favorite dungeons.....? literally never heard that before in my life lmao.
its fun in retail, but classic its a bit...
@@iDuckie_ i watched the rest of the video funny lol

I was flabbergasted when you said you loved stockades, glad I watched the whole thing 😂
i promise stockades is fun in classic lol
Retail WoW blows chunks. Please stay with us in Classic. Loved your video.
good video, but man that nostalgia argument is not true at all lol
You did the worst dungeon in WoW classic as your first one. Thats amazing, all up from here

5:15 what song is this?! I need to KNOW!
It is a parody of Tech N9ne - Face Off

truth be told im just doing the dungeons in the order my guild tells me to lmao

ive only ever played vanilla, and legion+ but im excited to see what tbc is like
I really started with shadowlands but I enjoy classic wow more tbh
both are good in their own ways
Shadowfang Keep is a much better dungeon than Stockades. Stockades is known to be just a mob grind.
yeah i only found out of sfk's existance recently
worst part of classic wow is the level 60 experience nothing but elitist comp groups with everything of value hard reserved while bots inflate the economy to the moon and force legit players to farm gold like a full time job
As a guy who played the paladin in Vanilla WoW as my second character (after mage), TBC was much better due to better class and gear design.
im excited to see what tbc is like!
Glad you're playing classic. sorry for being a toxic classic andy
Stocks is monotony. So is Ragefire Caverns. Two worst instances in the game.
idk i kinda like ragefire. then again i've only done ragefire in retail

haha you are not the first person to say that. Honestly its mostly default ui with a couple tweaks
your vids are soooo sick I love them man
Thank you man!
You really did choose the worst dungeon in the game to do, eh? Dead Mines would have been better. Good luck out there.
Suprisingly fun video. Good work man , hope people sub to you and you keep producing such content
thank you brother im glad you liked it!
level 35-40 was pain
Eh… SM spam like a crazy person
@ yes that’s why I said
@@thorbenmoe4195 I am crazy… but I love sm spamming haha

Retail Andy.
Nobody plays wow classic for 'nostalgia'. They play it because it's a better MMO overall. WoW Retail is the Candy Crush of MMO's.
yippie
no rested xp addon, first mistake.
Lemao. Assisted Brain rot and thinking
You don't have to play as an addon dictates. Gotta be hella boring not to think for yourself on your first time in classic.
what a weird accent

WoW is great, WoW classic isnt.
Agreed
what is it you dont like? I never used to like wow classic but it feels more alive now and i think thats what drives me towards it
classic wow hc is great for me, started wow first time last year with hc and tried retail this year. Went straight back to classic hc when anniversary servers went live
