Years ago I read excerpts of letters and diaries from students at Oberlin college in the 19th century and what some students really thought of their classes being integrated. Not all were for it, so I no longer view Oberlin the way it was introduced to me, as a liberal abolitionist college. There were racist students there as well. 😢
