Ghanaian here. The problem with Ghana is rooted at the management level. Corrupt officials have destroyed the local league, youth league and national teams. GFA officials OWN FOOTBALL TEAMS in the same country!! This is a recipe for disaster since they prioritise positioning their youth players in national teams, and threaten promising players with exile if they don't sign for their teams. Moreover, there is a constant misapplication of FIFA funds, which has denied us infrastructural development. Their manipulation of the national team and coach selections has created a toxic environment in the team itself, in addition to the presence of cliques within the squad. The experienced players DO NOT want to play for the current coach anymore.
