Would be fun to play around with the Experimental units, even if it was limited to testing grounds, just to see the sort of shenanigans they could get up to.
Man I know it would be a lot of work for the devs (and some additional performance load probably) but I wish every unit had variant skins depending on which module you put on them. Heavy armor, amp core, laser sights and so on, all these should be visually represented for maximum badassery.
"I don't actually wanna win" not sure if it really is a good idea to lose rounds on purpose. It's good to get as many points in while you can, in my opinion. If only one other player manages to score points you will at least be second place and win some MMR. And even when you are ahead and the massive neutral armies come your way, you can often delay these units with oil spill, or snipe a gold silo with a rhino drop, or send your units to a corner with 1 or 2 mobile beacons. You can very well still win rounds this way. The more rounds you take home, the higher the chance that you will finish top 2.
Elite Spec seems pretty good for FFA. I went Assault marksmen and Phoenix's both with elite marksman and did really well. It's a really interesting and fun mode! I just hope they fix the mode so people leaving doesn't kill the whole match. Also increasing the round cap to 11 or 12 would be best.
I hope they will make more units soon and a lot more upgrades to keep the game fresh and interesting. Maybe even something to do while the units battle.
is it good to check the round damage stats, to see if units are doing well eg 23:05 stormcallers might be wiping out 40units per turn or doing pretty good damage for a lv1 unit?
Theres a lot of cool stuff you can play around and do in ffa. Like whacky shite. Go full defense and try tank economy for dodging fights. You could go full aggro and try to just try to steal eco from your neighbors and snowball. I find it very fun to randomly target players at the expense of my own board, helps keep attention off me while I screw someone else over randomly 😂

The building upgrades have a lot of value. Just for the reduced debuff time.

This new game mode is so sick
I think the Spawn Techs now all have limits- apparently even in normal games, Forts only get 3 or 4 waves of Fang Spawns.

Do you prefer 4 player FFA or 2v2? It seems easy for FFA to devolve into 2 dominate players vs 2 feeder players. Where 2v2 could be more balanced.

"well actually" the spawn tech options have a limit to them in all modes, the poor poor warfactory.
Guy built a whopping 2 War Factories and named the video after it.
Honestly, I have no interest in FFA, it's mostly play against the AI and then whatever is left wins through spawn or hackers.
early rounds yeah, but then you have to counter ur enemies while AI is being reduced to 2x sledges per player + boss for extra cash
