- ICS ARK - One Year Later,
I have been using the ICS CXP ARK for 1 year now and it's time to look back on the things I like or didn't like. I will also show the things I changed to make it fit my needs.
Doing the 'One year later' videos is something that I like to do because after a year of playing I can tell my personal opinion about the rifle, not just the data that is out there on the internet. That is also the reason why you don't see a lot of different rifle reviews.
I can tell you this, the ICS CXP ARK is one that I will be using for a little bit more.

It's on my todo list when the weather will be a bit better. Otherwise the paint will not dry :D
Good video. You confirmed everything I mentioned in my review. I will update as well. Just two things that really helped me. I have cut a section away under the cheek riser. It is now a door to the mosfet & fuse. The battery actually fits in the back, peel of the rubber butt to reveal a space....... took me a long time to figure out. So obvious.

I think the ARK can use some small changes but besides that it's becoming of my favourite ones to use. But, I would love to see an indepth test of it on your channel :D
I bought one a few months ago. Definitely my favorite purchase of anything of all time, where did you get that top gas block rail?
Nice! I hope you have a much fun with yours as I have with mine! The small rail on the top is a simple mlok rail. It's the same I have on the side.

Greetings Verage, I have a question about the mags. Which CYMA replacement have you bought (model or type)? I've got high-cap with mine gun and can't find any other ICS ARC-131 original (mid or high-cap) to buy in Serbia (lol). 🙄 Tnx for your time.
I have the same question, I’m having a tough time finding mags.
I have a video on the channel with a test with different mags, there is also one where I adjusted mags because I liked how they looked.

The ICS mags are ok, but limited in size and not a fan of a Highcap. Most Cyma mags fit rather good, but you might have to adjust them a little bit. In the first compatibility video you can see which brands and types fit without modification.
Which spring did you replace it with? Is it the spring on the qd guide or the hop up? I’m new to this and want to customise it 🤞🏽 thanks.

@@jaii8040 The spring is a standard spring that you can use for any V2 of V3 gearbox. Getting the right output is a bit of a guess work because different brands will have different values.
I'm correct that it's the big spring that is in your piston, right?
May I know about ICS CXP ARK selector. When I select semi. While shoot it will turn to full auto. May I know how to solve the problem with this selector?

@@MrDcwk24 I don't have the problem myself. I had it but I the selector switch wasn't tightly screwed down, so when I did that I twas fixed. I'll ask ICS if they had more people having this problem and if there is a fix.
Anyone know if the US version comes with the metal hider like his has in the video?
I know they come with an orange one, but I don't know if it's metal. I'll ask that and I'll get back to you.
Mine was one piece molded orange plastic. Bleh.
Hi! Can the handguard be removed/replaced?
It can be removed but didn't try to add another one. I have a video on the channel where I take it apart.
what battery do you recomment? y bought a tamiya but mine comes with deans connector.
I'm using a 7,4V 1200mah Lipo battery. I have all my connections on Deans because I like that more. If you can solder a bit, you can switch them yourself. If you can't bring it to a shop and it's an easy fix.
@@VerageAirsoft my ak comes with deans is that al right?? Is the sss model . But in the description says that was tamiya so i bought a tamiya battery .
Is there something wrong if i tried to conect the tamiya into deans and it spark , de deans conector have a little burn mark

@@grajossyt6046 You have to make sure the red wires are connected and the black wires are connected. Can you send me a picture on facebook or instagram, then I can see if it's soldered on correctly.
You should not be able to connect a deans with a tamiya, that's not going to work :P

how is the stock hop up unit on this ?
Pretty good Even after I upgraded it with a new mosfet and master mods part, I kept the original hopup. Now I only use 0.25gr bbs, I did not test it with heavier bbs.
@@VerageAirsoft kept the original hop up ... but you replaced it ?? was the stock hop up not good ?
@@marklazio11 I kept the orignal hopup and unit, that one was good.
